UNS2 is the type of fighter that reaction is far more important than combo strings or even zoning. So long as you can KnJ and respond properly, you’ll win most games. No real strategy needed beyond KnJ --> Punish, except against turtlers and/or jump block spammers.
Sadly, it’s for this very reason why it’s one of the few fighter I’ve played that I have a winning W/L ratio.
I just wanted to say goodbye to this forum. I’ll be playing MVC3 pretty soon; so I’ll have to neglect all of my favorite ninja. For what it’s worth, “I came, I saw, I beat the hell out of everybody who would play.” The next time I post it’ll be on a MVC3 thread asking for tips on how to do the same there.
Without further ado, I commit UNS2 harakiri:sleep:
LOL Hyper Dimension was awesome, but lol @ it shitting on this game, it’s tight. Just a tadbit broken in some aspects. Especially the people just mashing block while getting attacked. Toning that down or putting inputs for sub jutsus would balance things.
Yea I’ve seen that, but I want to at least have a .500 style win loss on here. I know some things are nooby, but me losing in this game makes me feel even MORE nooby. lol. What does KnJ stand for?
I picked up UNS2 when I was back in Seattle for Christmas and started playing it recently, finished the campaign and started playing online a few days ago.
Man, folks were kidding when they said the defensive systems were overpowered. It’s amazing CC2 didn’t think to adjust them for online play at all. Then there’s all the other stuff.
I’m still having a lot of fun though. Using Asuma and he’s hella fun. I just wish I could use his Awakening earlier. Oh well, having so much fun that I don’t care if I’m losing.
Ive recently bought it and only played it a few times since I felt a lot was lacking. I really really miss the long epic ougi’s, but I understand why they had to remove it. And I just got bored with each character so quickly since there are only a handful of things you can do per match litteraly. Chars only having one Ougi + only 2 jutsus where one is mostly just the same Jutsu but a slightlyyyyy different version of them. I miss the previous gens. Story mode is epic though
I miss ultimate ninja Accel 1-2 TBH, and even Ultimate ninja 1-2-3. Remember how every character had THREE Ougi’s?.. & Customizable Jutsus? Yea :. / Hates every Next-gen fighting game sequel compared to the previous gen ones. I understand online is big, and the gameplay/visuals def. changed but it felt a bit lacking. Haven’t played much online, did pretty well though. Also didn’t turbo controllers/mashing substitution ruin this game online?
Yea a LOT of stuff ruined the game. The worst being that all combos were unsafe. Your opponent could just KnJ the combo and cancel into a Ougi for free damage. I think they made it to much of a fanservice game since it has a lot of characters and everything but the gameplay itself sucks. I really wish they would’ve just went the SF4 route and made the game look better but keep the original gameplay. There’s nothing wrong with a 3D fighter, but if you made awesome 2D fighters and your first 3D version of it wasn’t great, you could’ve atleast asked fans which they preferred. I honestly believe an Accel 3 for PS360 would’ve sold much more than UNS2.
I played in a tournament at AWA 2009 for UNS in Atlanta. I won of course but there were alot of players and good fighters… I wish people played the first one more its so much faster. :woot: In the second game the special suck excepts Kakuzu and Kankuros. In the first one all the Ultimate Techniques go boom. Hope they improve on the third one.:shy:
