I never met, nor talked to Gunter personally, so I neither know nor care what kind of person he was. He did, however, seem to be nice enough to take time out of his day to post up some GREAT videos and information pertaining to CvS2. I was very happy when frame data was added to the site, and loved the new lay out.
Whether or not he decides to put the site back up is up to him, but thank you for helping me out with my attempts to learn A-Groove and other tactics in CvS2

Sunny Vale Golf Land is arcade where the ātopā US players play. If you donāt play at that arcade or arenāt from the area, you are automatically a scrub, therefore it is ok for the aforementioned top players to patronize and treat you condescendingly. That is unless you kiss up to them online every change you get. Then theyāll teach you their ways and you can happily be their student.
Hoā¦ now I understand something, we had that type of thing over here as well on the past (but in smaller size), there was a kinga bigger arcade house in the other part of the city where I live and there was the gringo guys who tought they were the best on KoF games, everyone outside them was stupid scrubs (at least that what they said to everyone) and one day I found that their team on KoF 94 was Brazilā¦ as soon I found that I made a kind of challenge: I would smoke any brazil team with my mexico or korea team, from that day on they talked all kinds of shits and insults about me and my friendsā¦
One day I was playing KoF 94 at the arcade close to my house and 3 or 4 guys showed up and started playing against me with brazil teamā¦ (without making introductions)ā¦ I was playing with korea and I never lost against any of them, then after a few battles one of these guys told me that if I select any team outside of Korea I would loseā¦ I selected Mexico team (imo the beast team on KoF 94) and they never passed my first character (Ryo) after that they left and they never talked shit again about me or the players from the side of the city where I live.
Well I feel that I just typed to much alreadyā¦ but from what you are sayingā¦ that āsvglā looks like the gringo guys from here (lol)

I have never met gunter but it seems real childish just to take down a site just because some people have āpersonally attacked himā. What about the people who havenāt and benefited from his site? He should just say, āfuck all of you who are hating, im keeping my site up for people who use it to their beneftā. It seems like he let a few people get under his skin and took it out on everyone:bluu: Of couse there are going to be critics but damn, donāt generalize a whole group of people if you feel threatened. If you donāt put that site back then to the people who actually praised and learned from your site will now see you not as a person who finds great tactics in CvS2, but a person who is a quitter and now believes in the motto āfuck the worldā.

Oh well I was actually going to you site today and look for some customs but i guess thats out of the question. If you do put the site back up then you have proved the haters wrong but if you donāt goodby and enjoy your stay in Japan.

Majestros: I didnt call gringos to the āsgvlā thing, my point was about the situation that kcxj was saying, he said that everyone outside of āsvglā is called a scrub? if thats right then we had the same situation here: there was a bigger arcade place here on the past that the āgringosā from there talked shit about everyone that was not from their āgangā and one day I finally catch them on my area and they got the humiliation of their lifes after playing against me on KoF 94.
Just one small last note about this thread subject: like archetype saidā¦ why someone will close his site or gaming section just because some people talked bad about it? when I started akumacombos.com I had almost āZEROā support, there was people attacking my server, there was people making threads just to attack me, haters sent me e-mails day after day with bullshit, they even called names to my family, etcā¦ etcā¦ etcā¦
Sometimes some people make good comments about our vids and sometimes bad comments (over here at srk most comments are bad or just to insult) and nothing of that made me stop, if gunter has a strong mind then Im sure that he will back up his combo sectionā¦ if not thenā¦ ho wellā¦

Some people take something more seriously than others would. Gunter is one of these people. Itās his choice and he doesnāt own or obligate to explain himself to anyone. So just let it be. I never met this guy, but I do find his site useful to an extent. So I donāt really care if heās a asshole in person or not. Itās regretable that he decided to close it down.
Since you are a resepctful and active member of our community, how about finding these frame data and post them on your site? What do you say ? I need them ā¦

Rest: Only thing new on his site were the frame data. Eventually, someone will put that stuff up on a different site. If I can get my hands on that book, Iāll put it up myself. As for his vids, I have all of them. And Iām sure most people on Direct connect and irc has them as well. Hit me up on either one of those and I will send you everyone of his vids.
Hey Gunter, I think youāre making a big mistake for taking down the Cvs2 part of your site. I mean, you probably got a ton shit from peeps before, what did they say no that made you give up SF? And maybe it wasnāt the forums or such, but could you give the SF community one more chance?
