It seems like the supply of Namco sticks appears to be endless in the market. I wonder if it plentiful as much as the Madcats TE sticks manufactured today.
What honestly helps the Namcos is that they received a US release. They will be around as long as people continue to find them at flea markets, garage sales, etc. The $40 retail price also means that were probably a good number of them sold.
Oh hell yeah! Those twins there are sexy things Kyle. Great to see that you managed to install ASCII Answers in both of them! :lovin:
I need another affordable namco stick. I want to mod another one. I know Iām posting in the wrong area(trading outlet), but it just seems plausible posting in this appreciation thread. I wouldnāt mind just buying a blank namco shell.
Thatās cool. I wonder if he botched the job though. It looks like he took a sharpie to the bottom button. You should hit him up for pictures of the innards before bidding.
Cheap way to get a box I guess
I did, he said he sanded the buttons to make them concave and put an AES stick in it. Iām not bidding on it, but I thought someone else may be interested in it.
Does the Tekken 3 arcade stick have the same buttons and stick as the Namco one?
:wtf: That is bizarro on the buttons. I canāt imagine that it ended well. Then again I <3 the Namco buttons. Iāve been putting PS-14G on all of my sticks.
Hey guys, do sanwa balltops fit on these sticks? Iāve been thinking about picking up a second one to customize.
Yes.
Perfect. Thatās for the quick answer.
so my project 360/ps3 namco begins:

i replaced all of the button microswitches with seimitsu switches. the joystick microswitches are all new omron v-15g-3c25-k which feel identical to the original v15ās that are stock.
next step: pcb from Joytron Paewang Revolution! also going to terminate the ends of the top panel with male .110 qdās so for the future any swapping of pcbās in the namco will be painless and require and limit any further modification if possible.
I just scored a second Namco stick for $30. This will be my last one.
Thanks for the tip about the Paewang Revolution PCA. Now I donāt have to worry about getting a MC Cthulhu to do a simple PS2+PS3+X360 mod. Just the Paewang and the one thatās already presentā¦
Iāll use one of those PCBs for a Namco stick also provided thereās some guarantee Microsoft wonāt be banning them.
