In retrospect, I’m pretty sure the seller had no idea what he was giving away. Unfortunately, neither did I at the time.
Just one?
I took this picture in my room 2 years ago.
Bought them for 20$ each, left 2 for myself and sold all the rest to all the local hardcore stickless players at the same price because I’m such a nice guy/idiot (you pick which one suits better)
:wgrin:
:shake:^omg! I just got a semi.
Words fail me.

Gah! That is as crazy as the guy who had a carton full of Saturn controllers. You win. I’m still waiting to find one of these in the wild for $10.
i love you. no homo… well maybe homo.
Thanks to “DevilsFang” on this board (best modder of all time) my stock Namco joystick + custom case (with all stock Namco parts on both) has been modded with a Xbox360 PCB’s, works with guide function and both sticks have a Xbox360 microphone jack too
Can’t wait to receive them from the mail.
Will post pics when I get them.
Anyone know if there’s a place on the PCB I can draw power from for an Ascii optical? I’m debating throwing an optical stick in a Namco since it’s the only stick I care to use anymore. I know I could just outright replace the PCB with a DS1, which I may do if I have to.
Also, has anyone mounted a JLF like this? I like it better than the approaches I normally see.
I wish I still had my equivalant saturn collection, to your PS collection. I sold them while I was in college. I only have Alpha 2, Super Turbo and XMen VS SF. But now I just Mame it. Some things like Rival Schools, man I regret trading that one in to Funcoland(remember that one?) for Project Justice.
When Jesus returns on a dinosaur this is the stick he will be wielding.

Made from a brand new Namco stick for extra awesomeness.

I swear, the entire time I was doing this I knew I was going to screw it up. It ended up coming out perfectly. I’ll throw together a tutorial when I have time. I used both of these heavily for reference.

Thank you so much for this. I was especially happy I could get 3.3v from the stock PCB. It just made it that much better.
Very good there.
I was going to tell you where to get +3.3V for ASCII.
But looks you got it.
Laugh.
Thanks. I found it earlier in the thread.
What makes namco stick so good/desireable?
First they are portable and slim. The quality are awesome and durable. THe buttons are like seimitsu type and joystick are like jlf. Also the layout is godlike.
I love those namco sticks so much i have 8 and counting to my 15 goal reach.
In short:
6 buttons (strong personal preference)
Godlike flat buttons and nice stock stick
PS1 PCB which works on almost any system with converters
No stupid art
i see, thanks for the enlightment.
I hope one of you guys won this. I couldn’t seriously bid since I need to buy Christmas presents still and I stopped at $36
i won that auction at 51 dollars.
Are these finally going down to around $50 or is that a low one? That’s what they were selling for before all of the hype.
