i just installed a Namco stock joystick into my TE stick with a few adjustments. I changed the spring for a JLF spring and switched the actuator/shaft with a Sanwa’s.
The microswitches are so nice on this
It feels like JLF but better and quicker activation of directions.
lol, sorry I just bought the stock joystick off of someone.
To put a Namco stock joystick into a TE stick is impossible without some work.
My TE stick had a JLF so I took the JLF out, took it all apart and just left the black bottom ‘housing’ as well as the mounting plate on and replaced the Sanwa microswitches with the Namco’s microswtiches. I originally used the Namco shaft as well as the Namco actuator but this didn’t work out for 2 reasons…
The Namco shaft is much shorter than the JLF’s and installed in a TE stick the shaft was too short for my liking so I replaced it with a JLF’s. The Namco actuator was also too small for the JLF shaft so I replaced the actuator with a Sanwa actuator as well.
Basically what I did was just replace the Sanwa’s microswitches to Namco’s.
since we moved a few months ago i’ve been searching everywhere for my camera, but even with my blackberry this is a pretty good representation of the coloring difference between the mesh and buttons
