My most wanted change for AE2013

Whether you like it or not, ultras and comebacks are hype and fun to watch. SFxT just proved how much it can be missed.

So,
Why bother mentioning mixups, 50/50, unblockables etc. in relation to Ultras?
Why say “If I wanted to guess, I’d play marvel 3, but I want to play footsies and not instantly die to unblockables/or 50/50s as soon as I get knocked down.”?

Regardless, if Ultras were like regular supers, do you not believe that you would get the same BS, just more frequently? Instead of 1 per round. 2-3 times per round is a better option?

I don’t find shoryuken fadc ultra fun to watch. I don’t find target combo space opera symphony fun to watch. I don’t ex tatsu shinku hadoken fun to watch.

At other guy, yeah, having ultras as a secondary super is better than as an ultra. Because they have to choose between added damage and ex moves or super. Just because you CAN get 1-2 supers a round doesn’t mean it’s always a good idea.

We should be grateful for whatever we have in our game…

I’d like for them to take out unblockables because I’m too lazy to learn them. Otherwise I don’t think this game needs another patch. I’d much rather they do something else. Something non-SF-related would be great.

I respectfully disagree. I’d say that they are about equal. Consider this: Sakura can charge up her level 2 fireball faster than the startup of Cody’s badstone. (29F for badstone vs 27F for level 2 hadoken.)

Cody can’t release his badstone charge early (the game makes him wait until it reaches the next level, he can only release badstone on frames 29, 52, 71, or 97. Not between those times, ON those frames. If you let go of the button on frame 53 well you have to wait until frame 71 before the badstone comes out.

His bonus for charging? +10 dmg and +10stun up to a max of 80dmg (the same amount Sakura gets for releasing her hadoken on 27F). No frame advantage added no extra range or hitbox size increase or juggle potential or anything.

Also remember this: while it’s true that once the fireball is out you have very little recovery with badstone while most fireballs have fairly large recovery. The added startup also means longer counterhittable state which means added frame advantage and Cody takes 125% damage.

I never use, and have never played against any Sakura that uses charged hadoken outside of corner oki. And charged hadoken has shorter range than hp gadoken from Dan.

Tbh, Sakura’s is much better than Cody’s for oki, but Cody’s is better in just about every other way, atleast in my opinion.

Bottom line, neither of them are amazing fireballs.

Rematch option for 1 on 1 player matches.

sorrowstick, when you behave in this manner and make such unintelligible posts, do you think people will read and consider what you say? Or even take it seriously?

EDIT: For the sake of staying on-topic. I wouldn’t want character additions as I’m too afraid of skewing overall char balance too much (if it was guaranteed not to, then by all means - but that’s not the case.) I think the game is in an okay place as it is, so I don’t think I’d want that much changes aside from a few tweaks to maybe buff up the lower characters a bit (I don’t think the stronger chars need to get a lot weaker.)

The soundtrack of that stage makes up for the visual design though

Yes…its kinda confusing when against his outfit with enormous ornament on his rear.

Well I don’t have a problem with how it looks but it just makes things look confusing. The moving lights and all the cars jumping around in the background just throw me off. Plus the stage is laggy.

Combine Blanka’s carnival costume with that stage and it’s like he’s got on a cloak of invisibility or something.
