My fighting edge wont turn on

I bought a used 360 fighting edge a couple days ago. First day it came I couldnt get it to turn on right away but then I discovered if I would unplug the breakaway cable

and plug it back in it would turn on and work. This morning it wont turn on at all. When I plug it in I just get a little flicker on the LED and thats it. My PC says the USB device has malfunctioned and my 360 says nothing. I tried a new breakaway cable that works for my pad. Anything else I should try ? Or is it probably dead,

well I guess it was the breakaway cable after all … when I first swapped them it still didnt want to work but now its working 100 percent on both my pc and xbox

I bet whoever sold it wished they wouldve tried that solution
