@xi weng Thanks man, I found me a cheap room though. I really do appreciate the offer though.
Coth X : Cash is payment, but I can take paypal. I don’t know of any tournament that has any other payment options. Dude, you LIVE in Nashville and have not been to one of our tourneys yet, LOL
Baby Julia might be making a cameo some time on Saturday, probably later in the evening.
Arkansas should be reppin’ it at MWC. We’ll get there around 6-7ish today. If anyone wants to share a room, hit me up!
Well this will be my first offline event, and I really want to play ST offline. I suck at IV so there’d be no point for me to enter it.
BTW, I said hi to rob when the both of you were in Staples.
I don’t think he remembered me lol.
Made it to Antioch safely, had a great dinner at Midori (gotta love family owned asian restaurants), and setting down for a good night’s sleep at my friend’s apartment. Brought plenty of parts with me, so I should have enough for a full load. I’m competing in MvC3 (and maybe Tekken) on Saturday, and AH3 and the Mystery Game tournament on Sun, so I’ll have plenty of time to get shit done. Get at me early for fastest service! XD
Tournament was a blast. Will definitely be down for more ST, and will probably drop by tommorow to see if anyone is down for casuals still. I also met trippfan as well.
Coth X good seeing you, but Trippfan was not there as far as I know, lol
thanks for hosting mwc dreamtr
Trippfan is a ghost
Lol, he was on ggpo when i got home. Corrosion had told me about him on an earlier date. He’s out of town for school I think he said.
Nice meeting everyone there. Hope I make it around next year. =]
Great tournament. Didn’t do as well as I should have in AE, but I did manage 3rd in… Samurai Kirby (lol)! Had a lot of fun meeting new people and seeing familiar faces. Proud of my 256 BDP crew as well. Really wrecked some stuff in MvC3, and solid performance in AH3.
Great tournament, great experience.
Just drove four hours. So tired. Shoutouts when I wake up.
Shoutouts to everyone that me, Mike, and Panda met and hung out with. Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Mississippi have some great competition.
Also, shoutouts to IHOP and fitting 30 people in 2 hotel rooms for casuals Saturday night.
Hope to see you guys soon!

Full MWC Shoutouts:
- Special shout to J Willy for letting me help run the tournament and covering my meal expenses. Also to Ricky Ricardo for covering with getting matches on stations and calling matches while I was in a match/eating/etc. ALSO thanks for being patient with me when I got distracted and covering when I was watching a hype match. I was still keeping an eye out for open stations, but I did get caught up in a few of them.
-Extend that shoutout to Duckie as well. He was helping us find stations and doing all kinds of stick/arcade cab work. Oh and good shit for the Samurai Kirby run with backturn blindfold. Epic.
Memphis crew - always good to see you guys and good shit using Josh’s GPS to get lost on your way here.
Arkansas - thanks for coming out guys! I’ll try and get a TN crew together for ARK IV. Should be a lot of fun.
To the other states regions that made it - KY, ATL, Ohio, Bama, anyone I missed - thank you guys so much for coming out. Turnout was actually much better than we anticipated and we did it without and Evo Sponsor or Stream. Next year we’ll be able to make it bigger and more hype. Thanks again!
To mah boys:
-
J. Ford - Thanks for the warmup vs. Yun before tournament. I did get a little tense but it helped me get my head in the right place. Went to losers early but was able to battle back through to 9th place. Always appreciate the games sir.
-
Pat “You better not fuckin’ lose this” Farr - thank for coaching me vs. the Mak/Rufus player (seriously what are the odds) and kickin it all weekend. Regarding the side bet - seriously man, don’t sweat it. If I cared about the money I wouldn’t have put it down on you. Just tryin to rep for mah dood. Next time I just won’t tell you, lol.
-
Phil - thanks for the advice and camaraderie all weekend. You have a good eye for player tendencies and are a good coach. I implemented some of what you told me and was benefiting right away.
-
Woot - thanks for making the long haul after your ass crack of dawn work meeting and bringing the Memph crew. As always thanks for the matchup tips.
-
Jacob Sparks/Zeth - Thanks for coming man. Always good to see you guys. Zeth thanks again for letting me crash. I was in no condition to drive Saturday night, lol.
-
Lord “Too Many Negroes” JAS - Thanks for coming and helping hype matches. I swear a couple of those I didn’t even know where the other guy was from. I was just hyping the match because you were there, lol.
-
Ray (kajoc) - Thanks for coming and bringing more KY cats man. One or two of your boys I didn’t get to formally introduce myself to (Kyle?) but y’all are mad chill. Always fun talking games and fashion (no homo).
-
Shouts to Derrick Legend for putting me out of the tournament and being good as hell at fighting games but also being humble as shit and giving me a ton of casuals. We have no Juri here so the casuals and the tips were invaluable. See you soon homey!
I think that’s everyone. All in all this weekend was sick. Tournies always motivate me to play more regardless of how I did. I just want to keep improving. See all you cats soon!
The tournament was real fun, thanks for putting it on and kudos for running the brackets fast.
I would ask you guys to not list the Antioch Quarters Inn and Suite as a recommended hotel anymore. I had a terrible experience their and so did my other friend’s staying there. We booked about 5 hotel rooms with them to cover our crew and I am disappointed that try received our business. If you’re curious to read what I said about the place you can find my review on yelp, tripadvisor, and hotels.com
Again, great tournament and keep up the good work. Please don’t support that mismanaged hotel anymore though.
Shoutouts, SRK Version:
The entire BDP Crew- Thank you very much for showing up, hanging with us, and playing games. LOOK AT THAT PROFESSIONAL SAMURAI KIRBY PLAY OUT OF THAT ANDY GUY.
Luiz and Duckie- Thank you for making me realize that sticks can be used for PC’s. It was there the whole time with the USB port and it never clicked until Duck plugged his into mine to show off lighting effects and Luiz used his to play Stepmania. My mind is blown and it opens up so many possibilities now. Duckie, you should come/stay in Middle Tennessee, man. We’re excellent people but, of course, you already knew that.
Phil- You’re always fun to hang out, pound fists, and brohug with. I realize we don’t talk about much, but it’s always enjoyable to chill with you. Nice seeing you.
Patrick- I’m gonna need some more trollface W/M\W out of you in Marvel. You’re too good to not win events blindfolded and handcuffed, even. Keep at it, man,
Negro Justice- I’m pretty sure you’re aloof to my presence, but I appreciate you showing up Sunday to hang as well. You do good work for your community and I’m pretty sure they appreciate it. =D
DreamTR- I think I only need one word. ~Epic~
Additionally, I found a Tournament Edition stick way way in the corner by station 8. Figured i’d post it here as well as on Dustloop. If no one can reasonably claim it by July 30th, I’ll simply keep it as a spare. …Or give it to Duck.
Did someone record the ST tournies? And if so, are they up yet?
