We are updating the thread again as we just got word we will be hosting SBO qualifiers for a 3rd time! This one will be the same as last year, Super Turbo 3 separate singles tournaments to get a 3 on 3 team…
Hey, this is my first post on SRK, I am just saying that I am coming up from Georgia to partake in this tourney. Im starting to get pretty hyped over it, but yeah…and I know that I am probably asking for a lot when I say this, so bare with me when I ask this, but do you think SSBM (Super Smash Bros. Melee) might be able to sneak in for a tourney spot, I myself am coming for MvC3 and SSFIV:AE, but we have a pretty good smash community down here as well, and I was just wondering if Melee could get a possible tourney spot in this as well. Thanks guys, and yeah, I cant wait for this tourney, its gonna be good regardless

Makes me even sadder that there’s a 98% I may not actually make it. It’s either I don’t get a part in this summer theatre show or I don’t go to this, because the show dates are the EXACT SAME as MWC/SBO.

Sweet, now I’m too hyped for this tourney! I will see if I can gather some Melee players to come up with me. I’m pretty good friends with SleepyK so I might be able to bring some more people with me! But yeah, can’t wait, this sounds really awesome now!
Not been as active as I had planned when I moved here… but when AE drops its time to hit the lab hard.

My bet is we’ll see a fairly large # of AE players just because it’ll be so new by the time MWC rolls around.

Is the entire ST tourney x 3 on Saturday, or are finals for all three on Sunday?
What would happen if you qualified, but couldn’t go?
So stevetren was saying that last year each ST tourney was held in a series one after the other. However, in the first post it says the 3 ST tournies will be concurrent? Does that mean they will be all at the same time this year?
