I wonder if the Guilty Gear #R tournament can be changed to a Slash team tournament? Which would happen before the singles tournament, unlike Challenge, where everybody did singles and then peaced out.
I mean… I just don’t think there will be any interest in the #R tournament, now that everybody has Slash.
I find it hard to believe there would be no interest in #R. Was there no interest in Alpha 2 after Alpha 3? Bah…If people want Team Tourneys, Juicy G is all about those…

Imo it’s because Alpha 2 and 3 was fundementally different games. Difference between slash and reload is that Slash is just simply better on all levels than reload.
Secondly. I REALLY don’t want to run team tournies this year.They’re are incredibly difficult to run with other stuff going on and this year is STACKED with tournaments. BUT if there is enough interest and people won’t pussy out like they did the last 2 times i tried running team tournies then I might reconsider.
lastly I’ll help you out again this year by running slash.

NKI: Yeah, it’s new. It’s so I have a general idea of who is coming to this thing and what.
Based on the numbers we get THIS year for the games in THIS format, we might opt to go MORE console oriented, but I still leaning towards arcade only.
I feel bad for the Tekken players because we can’t get a zillion DR machines, so we have to use Tekken 5.0 only.
We are definitely better suited for Guilty Gear fans, so I hope they recognize this with all the extra effort and money we are putting up for them to come.

Umm I’ll be running Anniverssary sometime Friday night like around 7 (assuming this is not conflicting with your scedule Wilson) I’d like to have both AE and VS on Friday night since it will be less hectic and all the bigger games will be on Sat/Sun.
Anyway for AE

- 70/20/10 split
- 2/3 double elimination
- Blind pick enforced through the entire tournament
- In the event that both players want WW mode same character ie: WW Guile, World Warrior Mode is banned for the duration of that fight, meaning even if you lose you will not be able to pick WW at all!
Thats all, I guess I will talk to Sabre and or CigarBob about a tentative schedule for VS but like I said I think Friday night would be best for running allthe side stuff.
btw I saw KI up there as one of the mystery games, I’d love to throw in some casuals in it, unless its just being used for the tournament! Im glad that will be there and not crappy KI 2!

jeron: right now, it looks like cigarbob is not going, but im 100% going, got tickets and all that, the VS board and whatever else he was planning on bringing himself will still be there. i say run VS on a friday for sure! that game will be so much fun =)
