Srry for asking an obvious question, but what is Mags best combo for damage/meter building? Right now, I’m using the air C,B,C loop but I’ve seen the rom infinite and the air C,C,C loop. Just wondering, which one is max damage/meter building?

Is it a super tri jump, or a normal jump?? Cause that some smooth, sweet shit Yipes is doing with mags!!

Its height dependent. Mags can only get a normal to come out after a super jump/jump if he’s at a certain height. Yipes has gotten so used to it now so that its become natural and he can tell whether its going to whiff or not. This does give Mags alot of options as he can fake high or low. Also imo, M is a better option to Triangle jump with as it will come out quicker than L and of course H, and S. Also sort of surprised he hasn’t gone for a double overhead…aka tri-jumping L > fly > unfly S. I’m sure it would of worked in some of those situations.

The fact of the matter is, Sent was auto pilot before. Now you have to think. Then…think. Sentinel is still a really solid character.

seems like magneto’s mix up comes from addf air jump L and addf CR it is ambiguous as hell you can’t see if he’s high or low especially with a good assist like drones or akuma’s tatsu.

Also seems like everyone’s using that new corner bnb with the addf H loop hyper gravity seems to do decent damage.

I’m at work so I can’t test this, but I’m assuming you can’t tri-jump M off a normal jump and you have to super jump? Or are you getting a max-height normal jump to triangle into an M? I’m having trouble tri-jumping off a normal jump in combat in general. We want to be fast, so it’s counterintuitive to allow him to get to max height.

Any tips on this? or am I better off tri-jumping w/ super jump? I can get the lows beautifully, but my tri-jumps are getting me launched by mashers.

So I’ve done a lot of practicing and charecter switching so I’ve settled on akuma mag doom/sent I think I’m probably gonna put sent in place of doom more often now that I’m making better decision tho

I think :l: is better for Tri Jumps. It comes out faster than :m: because its a Light attack. Along with that, youre able to perform it at a lower height than the Tri Jump :m: as you need to be a bit higher w/ the Medium in order for it to NOT whiff from landing before it becomes active.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

How do you guys like to overhead at point blank? Fly into S is good, but for tri jumps, do you jump backwards? Or just always figure ending up behind them is better than in front and jump over? Sounds like the logical option, but that seems to push me out of range to go for a mixup when I land.

I overhead with trijump L, mix it up with tigerknee fly S, usually I do a double overhead with that

ive been having troubles vs morrigan lately, when she crouches it makes EXTREMELY hard for magneto to hit her with tri-jumps, and her cr.A can beat most of your thing, also if she has drones i feel like i cant do anything.

you guys have any advice?

I haven’t really played many Morrigans who play her rushdown really well, I usually just run away with Magneto and disrupt her to death or sneak in a combo and snap in her best assist to make the inevitable dealing with Morrigan a lot easier

If you’re having trouble with drones, EMD eats all 3 for breakfast
