Do you guys think its possible with a Sentinel / Magneto / Haggar setup?
You could OTG with magneto’s assist and Sentinel’s and Haggar’s assist should cover both Sentinel and Magneto good from rush-down, and you will always have a otg pickup.
or do someone disagree? I am maybe totally wrong about this ^^

no, it can be blocked
its range is unlimited (Ive caught somebody superjumping at the top left corner while I was at the bottom right corner)as far as I know and its very fast.
Is any other long-time MvC2 player having a hell of a hard time doing the standard:

I know this is one of the basic Magneto combos and nothing flashy at all, but every damn time I hit the standing :h: at the end and do the input on the grav my hands automatically do :hcf::atk::atk:
I know it is just the MvC2 muscle memory in me, but damn is it ever annoying.
are people using putting fly-> j.D as a quick overhead mixup while they pressure? i could see it being really powerful, and one of his only fast overheads?

I love fly > special. After you hyper grab at the end of a combo in the corner then launch and get a few hits (if the combo before was long enough hit stun scale will kick in and you will drop before they do) the screen stays on them and they can’t see you enter flight mode. By the time they fall down and are vulnerable you’re already unflying into special. It’s awesome.
I have a problem as well. I always hyper grab then accidently forward dash. I think when you do half circle back the then 2 attacks real fast the game reads forward+2 attacks and you dash. Shit’s pretty weak.
Magneto’s cr.LK fucking sucks

I’ve been having the same problem >.< . Took me an hour or so just to adjust to the new timing
magnetos c.L is a frame or 2 slower than most characters c.Ls
Magneto c.L is 6 frames! However coupled with his very fast dash and being able to chain cancel it is a plus.
You have to use it much differently than in mvc2 since its much slower. Also the c.L hitbox seems tall so its not good to use to go under stuff. c.H or c.M are better for that.
Fly->S is really good during pressure with drones etc.
If mags c.L was like most fast c.Ls it might be a little to good because of how chainable it is.
s.L on the other hand is gdlk. Great anti air and you can do some ghetto throws with whiff s.L over someones head then throw.

I’ve been messing with this all day.
In the corner you can basically go nuts with with low hit -> FlyxxD all day if they don’t push block.
Mid screen I haven’t really been able to loop it all that much but I’m still working on some stuff.
You can also do a pretty good mix up with sj addf jS/D/Exchange
You can either do the jS immediately and make it hit overhead, or do it late so you land and it cancels the animation and go immediately into throw or crL
So I’ve read that it’s possible for any character to super jump cancel S into a ground super or special. It opened up new combos for characters like Taskmaster but I’m wondering if Magneto benefits from this at all. I can’t imagine any particular grounded moveset he has that could act as a combo extender. There’s already a few good ways to land Hyper Grav. but I think off of a raw launcher the startup would be too slow to catch them even then I don’t think the resulting combo would be worth it. Thoughts?

This vid of iloveu shows how effectiive the fly xx S is, also we can see the standar bnb with magneto midscreen seems to be the triple j.C OTG assist and hyper grav for relaunch.

Magneto seems to be pretty strong in mvc3 for now. Specially combined with drones assist (what a surprise)
Im having trouble connecting the last standing C in the corner combo into another hypergrav…They always seem to be too high for it to connect, only managed to do it a couple of times.
Try delaying your jumping B after the air dash.
Maggy’s jumping B can hit them while they’re surprisingly low, and pops the other character up a little bit.
You have to slight, SLIGHTLY, delay it to keep them at a perfect height to continue the combo.
Yeah I can only do two reps… after that, opponent seems too high and hit stun is too low for me to delay the jumping B enough to get closer to the ground. I can never land that 3rd launch. I guess I’ll just have to stick to launch, air shit, launch, air shit, hyper grav > whatever.
P.S. do you guys really think fly, j.S really has that much potential??? Isn’t a tri jump overhead way faster? Honest question. I’m terrible at marvel.

nah when you tri jump your moves don’t really come out unless you do it at the peak of your jump so fly j.S seems a lot faster for now
