@iloveu: If I recall, you said that launch -> jump fierce -> air dash df -> jumping fierce still works…does this mean the five fierce combo is mostly intact, or does hitstun scaling/new move properties fuck it up now?
If it works, can you still do slide at the end? Can you get any kind of relaunch? Any reps? Any setups? Is the damage even worth it compared to new basic stuff like launch -> magic series -> j. fierce -> OTG Shockwave?
Mags only has 850,000 health putting him on par with Chun-Li. It’s still higher than others though.
ok im just going to type a few things real quick. You can do yadda yadda yada, launch, jump fp, tri dash d/f fp, super jump fp, tri dash d/f, land and launch. god bless your heart to do whatever you want after launch. Million dif things you can do depends on team obviously
sweep doesnt not hit. To high off the ground. The ability to tech in the air so high stops it. It also stopes a lot of the mix up options from mvc2
in the combo above, instead of doing the third fp in the air, you can just do standing fp lvl3
He also has cool fly unfly type combos. Whatever to launch, mp, mp, fp, fly, lp, mp, forward fp (which will cancel flight and make you dash) then blah blah blah in the air, knock down, character switch, whatevs.
Mags level 3 though. I’ve never seen it NOT hit.

I mean, that’s a nice notion, if you even LOOK at Mags wrong, no matter where you are, as long as he has 3 meters, he’ll thrash you for 40%. Even with Mags’ former speed, I don’t think I’ve seen him with that punish power without Storm backing him.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Ben Reed is confusing his old jumping fierce punch animation with his new one. Mag’s MvC3 jumping fierce punch (aka jumping :h:) animation is the ‘cape-swipe’ thing (it looks like his standing fierce in MvC2).
I think Ben Reed is talking about Mag’s MvC2 jumping fierce, which is actually his jumping :s: in MvC3.

yes you are right. hard punch… fierce punch… The C button… H button hahah whatever everyone wants to call it is the cape swipe… You cant do multiple S or exchange cause it hits down.
