When was Ian McKellan’s voice anything but the definition of epic? He’s a great model for the voice of the master of magnetism; regal, refined, a cut above the thuggery of simple minded humans.
Also, is everyone forgetting his voice in MVC2? He was in dire need of some lozenges. Sounded like his vocal cords had been set fire to and then hit with a car.
This just proves people are going to argue over voice acting as if that was actually the game’s main purpose.
I prefer to hear “I dislike XXX” rather than “XXX is terrible/sucks/other adjective etc”. Same with the opposite. Just makes it seem like you’re trying to force opinion into fact which fails.
I don’t believe the new voice is “weak” or “sissy”-like. It sounds more controlled, yes, but not to the point where there’s no emotion present and he’s not putting any boom in it. His old voice was much more sinister sounding I think. Maybe it’s strictly comparison and/or being used to his old voice; I did love the old one though.
And lol @ judging from gameplay trailers. I hope your expectations for their character move presentations aren’t high, even for the gameplay that comes with it. Looks fast enough to me so far though.
Actually I was speaking as compared to the rest of SRK, the regulars in here seem really chill, but people alwasy come in with a chip the size of Mississippi on their shoulders >>
(and I know, yeah yeah, magneto thread not complain about other posters, I think I"m done :D)
Ha, no. Read any first page news. It’s just like Unity with everyone over reacting and making knee jerk generalizations. The SSF4 arcade changes had hilarious comments. Marvel 3 forums is quite calm apart from the occasional troll/old vs new nonsense.
