So, is anyone else sad like I am that Trish can’t do the whole Donovan sword plant thing like she could in DMC2? I thought for sure that would be in and it seems like it would be a nice compliment to both her trap game and the fact that she gets the dive kick (and presumably changes to other moves) when she doesn’t have the sword.
Played her at the Chicago Fight Club. Don’t know if a nerf is coming her way, but she is serious business, one way or another. Felt like I was playing Testament, and that’s not a bad thing.
HCB + C (Roundtrip), onto a HCB + A (Ground trap) into a launcher chain was fun, and as long as I had a distracting enough assist (cough cough Doom cough cough Dormmamu) I was able land traps for free. Wasn’t able to test her dive kick, save for once or twice, so I’m still not certain if it was an overhead or not but she looks meh on rushdown, but I don’t think anyone was expect her to be the next Magneto.
So yeah, good times. Good times. Even if she gets nerfed, I’m think she’s got a spot on my team.

The minute they bring her down a notch, someone else is going to pop up in her absence. Theres no way to balance these games SOMEONE has to dominate.

There will probably be engine fixes that’ll make her reasonable, that clip wasn’t that abusive at all.

All things considered, she doesn’t look too crazy. She bleeds pretty hard and her runaway game, while sick, isn’t as godlike as say, Storm’s. She will make characters without airdashes hate coming in on her though, especially if Advancing Guard stays the way it is now. I can see Hulk, Cap, and Felicia just getting kept out free unless Gamma Charge can be done in the air/Shield Slash or Catnip Slash have really good priority, for example.
Thats my point, she doesnt look like too much. So no reason to take what she has, but this is Capcom we have here, look at what they did to Cammy for absolutely no reason at all.
Anyways…do you think Trish could have some unblockable setups?
Killing a character with Trish on point is going to be so juicy.
-lay air trap >>> character comes in forced to block in the corner
-boomerang hyper to keep them mashed in
-rushdown with assist (amaterasu/dormammu/dante/doom)
Can she set a trap while the boomerang is out?
I think so I might have seen a video of it once of someone doing that.
Trish honestly just seems like she will be the hardest character to get near next to Dormammu but once you get close she will die in 1 combo with a super to cap it off just like Chun li.
I dont mind low stamina, its a nice offset to having so many competitive tools.
Get the most out of Trish on point.
Lady would make sense if you’re going for variety – but Nero? Nero would have been less of a Dante clone than Trish – devil arm/bringer would have allowed for some crazy combos/moves.
Does Trish has a command throw?
I was initially but all things considered she is pretty faithful to her moveset still.
I believe it’s been mentioned that she can dive kick with or without the sword.

lol @ faithful to her movest. Trish was a pallet awap of Dante for finishing the game with Dante on Hard. She was a clone of Dante with his fathers sword, which Dante could also throw like a boomerang.
Trish played like DMC1 Dante and an amalgam of Alastor and the gauntlets.
She had the Donovan put the sword on the ground move which is all hers and her lightning projectiles in flight mode.
ATM, her MvC3 moves aren’t OOC.
