MvC3: "She only resembles your mother" The Trish Thread

I have a couple questions, so your assistance would be appreciated.

1: I’m having trouble with consistently landing j.m after air hopscotch. Sometimes I’m at the right height but I’m a bit too far horizontally speaking. I only have this problem midscreen. Any tips for getting the j.m to connect?

2: What are some good follow ups after your opponent gets caught in a s.Peakaboo?

  1. I would suggest pushing the stick forward when doing j.m, but honestly imo you should just do her dive kick relaunch, it does more dmg.

  2. if they get caught by s.Peakaboo you do s.l, s.m, s.h, s, j.m, j.m, d.j, j.m, j.m, qcf l, qcf pp

After the S launcher, its a jump forward, not a jump straight up. Also you must have a slight pause after d+H connects.

I go for a j.L instead of j.M after the hopscotch connects since it gives more consistent results and against more characters.

Trish is a low damage character to begin with, so squeezing any extra 25k doesn’t really make up for much for her.

after you get a peekaboo, but peekaboo has really bad hit scaling

Hey guys, saw this combo on youtube so I thought it would should be posted up here. The only thing I don’t like about it is the hopscotch assist and the ender into level 3 but it seems like a very good idea other. Your thoughts guys?

So I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but Trish has an odd glitch against Storm. If you do cr.M by itself midscreen, you either hit Storm and end up on the other side of her or whiff her entirely and end up on the other side of her. If you do cr.M on her in the corner, it whiffs completely and doesn’t cross her up.

I’ve almost, ALMOST got a Trish fly combo with a Doom assist, but I can’t find a ender that works. :confused:

rejoice fellow trish users, she can now start the infamous dhc trick. i cannot see how storm is better than trish now.

She can start it off a 300-350k combo at best. You’re better off spending that meter setting up an unblockable if you ask me instead of wasting 2+ meters for a combo that probably won’t kill everyone.

Is there any way to use the newfound Trish DHC glitch with a team of Chris and Ammy? I don’t fully grasp the DHC glitch idea, but if these 3 can work it out I might start looking to abuse it and drop Phoenix from my team.

DHC Glitch/Trick Thread

Ammy’s slow super works as the second half of a DHC glitch. So you can either go straight from trish into it, or if anyone has tested if any of Chris’ supers can work with the peakaboo assist to do it, as people have found a fair amount of characters can do the glitch off of Trish’ assist if only one hit collides.

TL;DR DHC glitch into Ammy slow super, full combo.

I feel almost stupid for asking this, but how would you set up an unblockable O_o. Do you mean with trish?

Round Harvest, Tag out, set up high/low unblockable with an assist.

I’m sure you guys have probably been asked this before so I’m sorry, but the majority of Trish combos I’ve seen require you to do launch, then super jump and do J.:m:,J.:d:+:h: and then you land go into standing normals, is there something to this input I’m missing or some trick? Because every time I do it they recover before Trish even touches the ground.

Also, there are other combos that have you do something similar to what was mentioned before except you cancel the dive kick into hopscotch, and it shoots them to keep them in place so that you can keep comboing when I try to do this it feels like they’re always too low for me to continue doing anything. So again, I’m asking if I’m doing it wrong, if there’s some sort of special input I should know or am I just too slow?

Treat the j.M, j.2H as a part of the ground chain, you have to do it as soon as you jump. So think of it like this, it’s not st/cr.LMHS > j.M2H it’s st/cr.LMHSj.M2H. Just let it flow.

As far as j.M2H > Hopscotch you’re probably just too slow. Again, everything must be smooth.
