Corner I’ve been doing:
j.S, 2A, 2B, 2C, S, j.B, j.2C, j.214A, (wait) j.B, j.C, (land), 5C, S, j.B, jc j.B, j.C, 236A, 236AB.
619k damage. With no super it does 435k if you end on an S. Works midscreen with a slight change in timing, but the full super won’t hit. Combo gives a full meter (ie if you have no meter, you can still end with the super).
I’d imagine there are more damaging options. Anyone have any?
Im not getting the dj. after :qcb::l: launch. I was doing it TOO fast so then I started slowing it down and it still doesnt combo. Either the legs miss completely or the blast hits them but it doesnt combo from the beginning.
This isnt difficult to do so I dont know what im doing wrong.
You could go to training mode to the last tab of options and play around with the connection bars to simulate a bad connection in the options so you could find out whats wrong with your timing.

Found a corner exchange 50/50 that might be useful. When the opponent is in the corner, up exchanges and down exchanges don’t cross up. For reference, the combo for going into the exchange I tested this with is:

The meterless enders gave me enough time to land, Round Harvest DHC Hail Storm, so all of your usual corner knockdown options should work. I tested this on Dr. Doom and Wolverine. Might still have to play around with that a bit.
Exchanges seem to do weird things with the hitstun decay. This is the only time I’ve managed to get three hopscotches in one combo, yet if you try to airdash down or whiff a :d: :h: after the exchange hit to get to the ground and relaunch, they tend to tech out very quickly. This actually does pretty decent damage too. The Storm combo I listed but with :s: land Hail Storm instead of the exchange does about 560k. Doing the meterless exchange option also did around 550kish, so it’s like getting a free hyper, not to mention the free bar on a down exchange. It gets Trish back in, so you can setup a Round Harvest mixup even if she wasn’t on point at the start of the combo.

also i had an idea in this combo video instead of using her super round trip
if you could dash back after you call dante then throw her 214H then input 623H to make it stop and relaunch
im not sure if its possible but i haven’t messed with it (i don’t have the game)

You could try adding triangle jumps, like your Storm, to help your mixup game. Andre was really quick to AG your iad j.C’s, so some quick empty triangle jump 2As might have worked out well.
I think you should stop using the j.A instant overhead if you use Storm and Sent. Drones fly too high to combo on a crouching target that would require j.a to hit where a j.c would whiff, or whatever. The little bit of damage from a single j.A won’t scare an opponent from crouch blocking.
I think there was a time when you killed a character and then planted a Peekaboo for the incoming character. That let them AG you fullscreen away, escaping your pressure for free, returning the game to neutral. I’d just go straight into Sent drones and dive kick for crossup/non-crossup like how you did earlier as oki.
There were lots of dropped combos from several different kinds of successful hits. When I did see your Trish land a combo, it was only into the generic MvC3 combo. Finishing more combos would’ve lead into more okizeme opportunities. I think only the first game had your opponent waking up against your Trish.
Your neutral game would be sick if it lead into more combos. I’m sure you hate playing a match where the damage you deal from several different occasions is negated by an opponent getting in once into a simple BnB.
So, really… I’d say just execution.
Also, it looked like Andre’s dive kicks hit with a pretty high %. Not used to fighting someone else with a dive kick as well? lol
I agree with Grayburg here. Mostly execution mistakes (especially with Trish), and punishing issues (Dante’s Million Dollar). You also need to drop the habbit of doing random Hail Storms against X-Factored opponent and fullscreen Hyper Sentinel Force DHC. I understand that Dante is a tough match-up for Sentinel, but that’s just pushing it IMO. He also seems to be your weakest character, well, in these matches anyway.
Execution issues aside there’s not much I can say about your Trish. You were doing well with her most of the time. I would try using froward AD j.:s: more, it is a better cross-up than j.:h: and it is not that obvious. You should also try doing switch sign, considering how often you use Round Trip, it is a really confusing move if done right. I like calling assists during flight mode, but considering that you were fighting Wesker most of the time, that’s not the best suggestion.
So, really, spend a few days in the training mode, and work on your execution.

It is definitely possible, but it must be done higher than regual (mission 10) combo. I’ll try this combo when I get home, might be Ammy specific, I doubt it though.

Am I the only one having issues landing after a double jump? My kick always seems to hit above my opponents head
You’re super jumping up too early… have to delay it slightly.
Shinkuu’s right, I get that problem to since I’m a bit too frantic with superjumping after my opponent after a launcher.
What are your thoughts on divekick xx trap ? I actually believe its slightly unsafe in some circumstances, like canceling the divekick too early making the trap whiff. But it stops them from moving forward when done properly. And dont get me started on a good keepout assist on top of that foolishness.
I also been doing something similar with Trish as I do with Amaterasu’s :h: xx paper by doing Trish’s :h: xx trap. A nice good-ranged normal followed by a blockade.
beam assist + instant air dash :h: is just too buff im using a good one with lots of durability points like Storm whirlwind that essentially eats everything in front of it.
So, I really like Trish (I love her Testament-like playstyle), but I noticed she does VERY little damage on her own (I haven’t been able to find a BnB that can reach over ~570k with meter, that doesn’t require a particular assist etc.) so I have a few questions:
Since her combo damage is sub-par, how are her resets?
Does she have a reasonable BnB that does more damage than I mentioned, that I just don’t know about?
If I can’t deal huge damage with her, does she have any combos that generate good meter? her corner c.:l:c.c.:h::s:[j.
:d:+:h::qcb::l:]x2 only gives about 2/3 a Hyper bar, and with three reps it’s just under one bar (but then I can’t use Maximum Voltage at the end)
Right now I’m running her with Mags(Disruptor)/Felicia(Buckler) but I might change this (I think an OTG assist would help Trish’s combos do more damage, it really is a shame Rolling Buckler doesn’t OTG)
