It’s less consistent for some reason. I’ve trier it just against a jumping dude with airdash df and pianoing/plink dashing is like 100% but simultaneous M+H only works now and then (probably when I fuck it up and do M~H)<br>

If you have your airdash you can simply addf + button, or adf + Magnetic blast into crH. If you are close enough to the ground when you aren’t in airdash threshold simply jS to land quicker and dash into crH.<br>

H Hyper grav reaches midscreen off a throw, I’m relatively sure anyways. I don’t use that personally. <br><br>Normal jump height or lower you can just wavedash twice and do a cr. H. <br>If you’re above normal jump height, ADDF +button, dash cr. H<br>If you’re above normal jump height and have already used your dash, immediately fly, ADF, ADUF, ADDF+S, cr. H<br>

Question related to the magneto forums - <div><br></div><div>After the migration to the new forum style, it seems that all the combo notation on page 1 along with all the links to the youtube vids have had their formatting screwed up. What I’ve been attempting is cr.LMHS sj H delay ADDF H, dash forward HS, sj H fly LH adf H adf H… But the positioning on the grounded dash into H then S caused the H fly L link to be very inconsistent if the opposing character floated away too far or too low. Is your combo more forgiving?</p>
I’ve never tried you’re version of the combo so I can’t comment on if the fly L link is easier,
but a tip for hitting it more consistently -
after the relaunch try to hit their feet with the sj H adf H xx fly L
Holy shit, thank you so much for suggesting this! It fucking works, I’ve got it to 90 percent consistency in like 10 minutes hung over. This… This means… I can play MAGNETO. =O
Skip the H on the relaunch after ADDF H and just do S. When you’re super jumping after, make sure you SJ slightly upforward so you can hit the legs or feet before you fly cancel into L.
I imagine the “cr.LMHS sj H delay ADDF H, dash forward S, sj H fly LH adf H adf H…” variant would be better for happy birthdays as you wouldn’t have to worry about the L.blast not hitting one of the characters. What’s a similar happy birthday combo for mags? Thanks for all the support. Additional practice in the lab and what I’m comfortable with is cr.LMHS sj H adf H xx L.blast dash forward S sj H fly LH adf H adf H adf H adf MMHS, call missles, dash back, pull back with the new magnetic move into the missles to OTG, hit them with H hyper grav xx magstorm, then DHC into spiral sword nonsense. =D
I just do regular fly loop unfly H into S sj j.MMHS Shockwave DHC into whatever. I’m not worried about killing the point character as I am with the assist character. Just keep it simple with the happy bday, because that’s a combo you don’t want to drop.
cr.LMHS > sj.UF > j.H > ADDF > H > Land > [nj.H > ADF > j.M > j.H] x3 > HG xx Hyper
Basically, After I land I can’t do shit. The M won’t connect after the dash, I think it’s due to my height but I’m not sure. I have varying results depending on when I land the Air H’s and shit. It’s all kinda confusing.
Azn_Boy, I wish I could both like and disagree with your comment. It is day -3 and totally worthless. Still, the basics that Huggy Bear is having difficulty with in that combo are going to transfer over as s/he tries different combos.
Mag combos advice in two words - height control.
It’s hard for me to help you out Huggy because I don’t have a video to look at. If I was guessing however, I would say you’re doing one of the following things wrong.
Waiting too long on the sj. UF before you hit with the H. Will end up making your second j. H too high and your opponent will hit the floor about the same time you do.
Not doing the ADDF H fast enough. Same result as 1).
Bad spacing on your j. Hs. Causes a similar situation as 1) and 2). Try juggling the opponent on the top of the hitbox for j. H in your magnus combos (ideally, you should be hitting their feet with j. H)
Finally, there’s a slim chance you might not be jumping fast enough after you land. After inputting the ADDF j. H, hold upforward for the normal jump. If this is your problem, that will fix it.
Hope this helps somewhat. It’s not necessarily a bad combo to learn, in fact it’s basically the same combo I started out with. However, once you get the basics down, you should definitely move on to higher damaging/more optimized/corner carrying combos. Best of luck.
