Nah man, we’re talking about cancelling your defense with one of the gravity moves (attraction, repulsion, gravitation), cancelling that into Tempest, and DHCing out of tempest into either swords or Devil trigger, thus making “unpunishable” stuff, punishable.
For example, Wesker st.S can be punished this way.
Ohhhh. That’s badass. I figured you could get caught with your pants down during the repulsion/attraction/gravitation, but you actually input it after you block? This is godlike tech. Off to the lab
If you are running an install character, mashing on double or triple qcb + ATKx2 works to get Tempest and then DHC into something like swords.
Tbh, I never actually used this tech in a real match either, and more often than not I get air hypergravs or gravity moves by accidentally messing up my pushblock and get killed.
For some unknown reason Capcom decided to allow Magneto to break out of blockstun by canceling his block into hypergrav in the air or repulsion on the ground. There isn’t much you can do with it unless you spend 2 bars and have an install super or extremely fast DHC in the back.
first… practice 8963+MH. if you pay close attention to Mag’s shoulders you’ll notice the blast was cancelled into his air dash. you should see two purple orbs flash right before he dashes. once you have that down just add the Light attack, and make sure you plink MH into L.
Ok what is the best combo to do for magneto that isnt the rom or flight loop. I can do the addf H after the magnetic blast combo but i can hit any of the enders. ( i.e. the MH magnetic blast after the H adf H magnetic blast or the Flight loop after the S). Any tips for landing these would also be helpful. I just assume that the enders only work if the combo takes me directly to the corner ( Meaning they have to start directly from mid screen) and im looking for something that carries to the corner easily and lets me go into the hyper grav loop)
I’ve been wondering the same thing. The rom is above my execution level right now and the flight loop does very little damage and inbetween those two he has so many different combo’s and I can’t decide wich one to put my time into.
Just learn the flight loop and then learn to unfly into Hyper Grav loop reps, you end up doing around 600k anyways. You can always just do the Fanatiq 2 easymode ROM reps into side switching for cornering situations.
I agree with @Din0 since that’s how I first started off in vanilla and hen ultimate came around i worked on those alioune loops. afterwards i proceeded to work on my own variations. it’s all about the basics guys really
Just do whatever the fuck you can, tbh. Check the front page of the combo thread and try them 1 by 1 to see what’s most comfortable in your hands. They’re all good anyways, and you’ll learn all of them eventually.
Is Magneto’s Fly/unfly loop better than his airdash loop? I know it does slightly more damage, but can’t you not convert it into as many hyper grav loops?
