ok i have a few questions about mag
#1. when approaching with mag and doing the jump addf L is it best to do it with a normal jump or a super jump? should i super jump only if im going to hit him and normal jump only for approaching?
#2. when i play against ryu or akuma, my opponent spams spin kick in the air and every time i try to do the triangle jump thing the spin kick beats me 10/10 times… should i be playing completely different when i play against a ryu or akuma?
#3. on your way down from a triangle jump, do u spam L or just double tap it to continue a combo?
#4when doing a triangle jump --> grab, on my way down should i hold forward and spam H or should i just learn that timing?
i suck with mag by the way.

hey im a pad player and im having a issue learning mags combo (the 1 where he sj after launch and lands h addf s sj h repeat) i at best can sj h follwed by addf heavy, when i try to sj back the h wiffs or isnt even close to hitting

How do you get Magnus to fly across the screen like that? :wtf:

I remember James saying that his normal attacks can be canceled by a dash or something related to that. I tried to figure it out on a practice session and wasn’t able to do it. Anyone got ideas on how to execute it?

^ I think for this, you can just Super jump flight-cancel to air dash across.

also if ur a pad player like myself u can just set 1 of ur top buttons like r1 which is wat i use on ps3 to do this its much easier then tryna mash out 3 buttons

Does Magnetic Blast serve a function? I never see it in any combos, match vids, or really anything. Until today I didn’t even know this move existed until I accidently did it during one of Mag’s loops.

There’s a loop that uses it. It can also be used for zoning w/ assists:

My Magneto keeps getting confused by wooden guns and thinks he’s lost his magnetic powers, how do I stop this tactic?

Can anyone help me with getting the timing down for his BnB Air Dash Loop?
I cant seem to get it down, and I miss the inital dash lol

its pretty simple… unless youre trying to dash by double tapping foward. you can dash by pressing two buttons

Ive seen some guys use j.M instead of j.H in the rom loop, can anyone point out how it’s advantageous over the regular one?

There’s a bookmark on the time it occurs in the link. If you opened the link, it happens within the first 5 seconds. Plus, bloodabeast explained it. Got it working and my roommate is now salty after his Sentinel heavy spam.

j.M is more lenient in terms of keeping them leveled. It has less hit stun though and you have to be quicker. Sometimes people throw a j.M in there when they notice the opponent has fallen too low.

you superjump for addf H or S. you only need to normal jump for L. just practive the timing. and if you want to wiff an air move to go low, either do normal jump addf M, H, or S. the animation will come out but no hitbox will appear. again. practice the timing.

yes, dont rush them down that way. run away with sonic booms and fly. also, normal jump adf M M H, land, st. L, S to combo works, just practice the correct height. you want to hit the top of the head with the tip of the hitbox of the j. M.

i plink from M+H~ L, same with SJ, ADDF H, its L+M~H.

learn the timing.
