For what it’s worth, yes it is. I just been dashing with :l: + :m: since vanilla and in turned used it to learn the mag blast combos then the fly loop. Now it’s embedded in the muscle memory.

Then you’d want to learn how to use both ways effectively. It’ll help train your fingers to plink from both ways, and hopefully carry over to other characters or games.

I know it became easier for me to jab hands with Honda ever since I started playing Magneto :<

I think if you’re using the flight loop as an combo extension ie. Mag Blast to fly loop; ROM to fly loop, the timing is tighter so L+M dash would work better to get the H’s out.

I’ve never had trouble switching between the two. I actually didn’t notice I was doing that until the discussion in this thread.

Also, Joes slow down super is so fucking god like. Its like you’re level 3 x-factor magnus for a few seconds.

Does that stack with Ammy’s Slow down hyper? If so, lolSentinel.

I dont know if it stacks, but it does prevent them from using hard tags to escape mixups.

Hey guys new to magneto here - I can do the basic fierce fly loop the only problem is that for the fierce x 4 or 5 loop i use the stick to dash forward fierce dash forward fierce etc.
when I try doing h - lm - h - lm it hurts my fingers really bad so I found it easier to use the stick to dash
it seems to be working I can get max rep - is this a bad habit to get into?

I believe some pad players do the same. I wouldn’t recommend it because it makes it harder but if you can do it, I guess there’s no harm in it. The only thing is, it’ll probably hinder your ability to do harder combos. I’m not even sure if you can get the timing of the hypergrav loop doing it that way…
If it hurts your hands, just macro a dash button onto the fourth button on the top. I do L M H LM so when I go into Fly loop I just do L, H xx fly and then move my hand so I can use my pointer and middle finger to alternate betewen H and LM. There’s a stigma against macros, but a lot of pro players in California use it (like ShadyK) and so I don’t see the problem with using something that’s likely to increase execution.

I only do the mash forward on pad + H method during the fly loop. Any other time, I use my macro dash buttons.

Question, will we be seeing his Alt anytime soon? it’s not included in todays pack :c

I’m aware of the glitch, i was just asking if were going to be seeing a diffrent alt since cashcom doesn’t want us to have our Swagneto. I just bought the Roster pack and it doesn’t include Jills, Shuma, or Magneto. I’m gonna be pissed if they don’t give it to everyone for free. Or atleast those who bought the pact that was suppose to include him. Im pretty sure the price is the same as the other costumes even those it’s one less Alt.

I don’t think they’re going to release a different alt since they seem pretty adamant on not spending any more time on this game than necessary? The roster pack doesn’t include Mags either? Guess I’m not gonna be snatching that up.

Hello all, I just started playing a team with Magneto as anchor, which I really like. I was just wondering if anyone who does the same (I see Din0 does) has any good tips on how an assistless Mag can zone and control space, etc. Like, are there any particularly effective Magnetic Blast patterns I should be utilizing? Stuff like that, some basics to build upon as I practice. The rushdown’s pretty self explanitory, but just want to make sure I’m putting stuff on the screen in such a way to maximize annoyance to the opponent. Thanks!

I guess I’ll add this too, and I apologize if this should be in the combo thread, but: if I’m doing the normal fly loop (jH dash jH dash jH, etc), at the end of it, any advice on consistently being able to get the unfly to sH continuation? Do I want them at a specific height when I unfly? I get it sometimes, don’t other times, and am not quite sure what’s different when I do or don’t. Thanks again!

I do ADDF H~S for my unfly, its just easier for me.
As for Mags zoning, after a hit H disruptor, they have no choice but to block or ear a L disruptor. You can also do MagBlast, ADUB Blast again.

Ahh that’s right, ADUB! I knew there was a Magnetic Blast tactic I was forgetting, thanks! Hmm, I dont know if Ive ever intentionally done an H disruptah lol But I hadn’t played Mag since vanilla.

H disruptor hasn’t changed from vanilla while L and M have been slowed down a bit.

Do you use much H? I don’t think I’ve ever thrown a non-L disruptah on purpose lol

H Disruptor is useful when you need that boost in durability in projectile wars. I rarely use it though since projectile wars are relatively rare in anchor battles and Mags isn’t winning a projectile war against say, a Hawkeye, so you’re better off trying to get in that ass intelligently.

The XF3 Hyper Grav infinite is stupidly swag but a bit impractical since it takes so much time off of XF3, so only do it if they’re on their last character and you have enough XF3 time to burn. I haven’t gotten used to Magnetic Blast loops during XF so I just do one rep of ROM followed by a fly loop which usually does like 800k or something stupid before super.

TAC into Magneto Flight question:

When I TAC from to Magneto using Left/Right TAC, seems like I can just dash, j,H xx Fly and go on. Is it different for using UP TAC and Down TAC? If its the same then I guess I’ll just need to work on my timing. If its different, what do you guys press to combo into his flight?

So far I can only connect flight after a left/right TAC using dash, j.h xx fly.
