I’m in the train of thought that if a new poster can’t spend time posting questions in the right thread/section, I can’t spend time trying not to be an ass.
But I’m working on making the first post say something like:
Please ask your question in the right threads [link to thread goes here]
We’ll be more than happy to answer you
But I can’t make the entire site not post in the thread. Someone will either chew him out or answer the question for him there, which is just saying it’s okay to make threads when there’s already topic for questions to everyone.
On topic: I would’ve thought the backgrounds would’ve been something that resembled comic book panels. Like still shots from the “Episode” trailers of characters in comic book block panels.
Roger. I won’t have the game day 1 though, so everyone will have a head start on me. Only 18 more days or so for me.

Ditto. I yet to have a hostile confrontation around here; the closest is a heated argument with Robo about whether Akuma would be in the game or not. If you come here and post intelligently, or even unintelligently and politely, people treat you fine. The only thing I ever see is people who try to bring a nasty, scrubby attitude into this place getting flamed out, and that’s a good thing.
In the words of Seth Killian:

Keep this place clear of scrubs. No one here has any prejudice against bad players wanting to learn that I have seen.
LOL, pretty much what theoryfighting was during the TGS build. Random char/ Trish(peekaboo/hopskotch)/Doom(Doom rocks).
It’s funny because her thread only has 9 pages. She’s fun as hell to play though. She’s got that Testament flavor so she earns a spot on my team.
Several variations though. Had the Dante one and Dormmy one. Brushw0rk was one of the first though.

Edit: If anyone can show me the inputs or video for Seth doing Ammy’s loop on Hulk, I’d appreciate it. I looked on unity but couldn’t find the recorded stream.

I’m curious as well. I’m just glad I was smart enough to come around before then. Hopefully the newcomers take some time to reference all the information that is in the Wiki. That’s ultimately how I’ve learned everything, having not been in the MvC2 scene at all, by contributing and studying as many sources as possible. At first, it can be a little overwhelming, but if it’s all laid out in a fashion where one can take in little bits at a time, then it’ll be no problem learning what’s going to be available “gameplay-wise” in the game.
Personally, I think that anyone who wants to play the game and honestly get better should be here right now reading up on everything while the game isn’t released yet. That’s my motive, at any rate. Learn as much as I can before the game drops so that when it does, I can understand the insanity while it’s happening. My advise to new-comers, as one myself, is to absorb info now, because when the game comes out, everyone will be learning, but like Ultradavid said, those with the most knowledge will have a far greater advantage than those who don’t have it.
And on Trish not being in that many teams anymore… I think it’s all a matter of the roster and when certain characters were released. Now that there are more characters lined up, people are changing their teams a lot. I’m trying my damnest to keep my team as Captain America (who will be in all of my teams, period), She-Hulk, and Amaterasu. I want to put Trish, Wesker, Spencer, Iron Man - Hell. I want everyone in the damn team, but I can’t figure out what and who. Lol. I think I’ll follow Keits’s example and just play every-damn-body, except Zero, Dante, and Deadpool (it’s just personal preference, I don’t like using overused characters… and Ryu and Skrull… just don’t care for them, but that’s just me.) But you’re not alone, Noodlez. 
LOL @ Throwback teams before the game’s even out…man it feels like an eternity since SDCC eh? I still remember watching that stream like it was yesterday!
People really don’t pay attention to my teams.
