Well, it’s not like it’s a pre-release tournament. The time between release and then is probably enough to outweigh the pre-release events for the most part, with training mode and no lines.
Not that that makes a difference when it comes to experience in other games, but it’s not like that’s going to change overnight.

I might. Haven’t worked out a team yet, but if I can get one popping it’s on. As soon as I get my hands on the game in any way shape or form I’m tryna hit up Demon Hyo and see if I can go in the lab/squad up with him. If that doesn’t wash, I’ll just go down the list from there.
Oh you serious? I was allowed to book a room, but I haven’t really payed yet and don’t until day of, so I can cancel. That’d be nice though, if that’s cool with you. You’d have to pick me up from the AE tourney though, since that’s where I’ll be when I get there immediately.
I don’t know why more people aren’t pissed about no spectator mode right now. That is such BS. I wont be joining any lobbies with more than 3 people until they get spectator. I don’t want to have to look at the lobby screen for 10 minutes. Come on people be more pissed!
One, I want more confirmation. Two, even if it is true, the article that broke the story said it would be fixed. I’m not worried.
If they meant no spectator as in you cant join a room as a non player and still watch I wouldnt care. But if its you cant watch a match even joined as a player then theres something wrong.

I wouldn’t call them morons. There could be reasons why things aren’t working. Remember, we are 2 weeks out. If it isn’t, it could always be patched in day of release, and we wouldn’t be any more unaware.
Other than netplay, I don’t worry about online features until release, and even then a while after that. Times around releases are always turbulent.
If there’s no spectator mode (for now) I got plenty of offline competition anyways…also I’ll just play Ranked.

You’re taking a huge gamble if you don’t have a dual modded stick and going to tourney.
Get them sticks modded! It’s not too hard. I learned how to solder the day I got my ChImp. Not the smartest plan, but it worked out in the end.

Same. I’ll be hosting 1vs1 endless rooms, or i’ll be in ranked. I ain’t touching 3+ player lobbies until they add spectator via patch.
If I had the money at the moment I would. Unfortunately, I’m probably not getting the money to be able to do so until probably after the tourney, or right before it, either way, not enough time.
I’ve taken bigger gambles. I always figure something out.
Besides, now my biggest worry is finding a team or two for SSF4 and MvC3 Team Tourneys.

i always play ranked anyways, the matches are always found pretty quickly and i feel like endless is pointless. might as well earn/lose points if youre gonna play.
There is no way anyone is sitting down for 7 matches waiting there turn without being able to see shit…
More good people play Endless, and you can control the lobby better.

Some people have friends they want to enjoy the game with. I never touch endless unless its with people I know.
We’ll see. Talking to EMP.BadFish atm. He might be crashing here as well. He’s trying to run the gauntlet and play in like every tournament here. lol
As for a modded stick: I have little to no soldering experience… is it that hard? I mean, I can put together a PC (the one I’m using atm I built) so… wondering if that’s enough technical expertise. After that, what’s the price point we’re talking here?
