im interested but wary in seeing what capcom would change or implement for an mvc4. i think mvc3 will go down in history as another mshvsf. its the first game of this rebooting of the series, what comes next will be interesting.
i wouldnt say this game is broken tho. high damage, maybe even OP, but broken? nothings been found yet that changes the way the games played completely, were still discovering bnb combos at this point

Wait, you still play this game? I thought you were on the “This game is ass” bandwagon. Also, I didn’t mean “bad” broken. I meant like, everyone’s got something ridiculous. Ridiciously awesome, that is.
i mess around with it, i dont play online because the lag is bad. i dont like xfactor, and the games unsatisfying, but i like iron man and wolverine better than their mvc2 counterparts.
overall i do think the game is ass, although there are some neat parts in it. its just missing something…
Can I make a formal request? Please stop making generalizations. If your post uses the words ‘all’ and ‘everyone’ please re-think for a second. I’m getting tired of people saying ‘everyone complained about Sent’ and ‘now everyone is complaining about nerfs’.

I request that we ban everyone on SRK for a week so people can calm the fuck down. This shit is getting tiring and people are debating theory and semantics instead of talking about the actual game.
I don’t like generalizations any more than you dude, but you gotta admit, everyone wouldn’t shut the fuck up about how OP Sentinel was as soon as Justin and Marn started saying it.
MvC4? “Go down in history”? Didn’t this game come out LAST MONTH?
Man, people are going insane.

I’m personally not complaining about Sentinel nerf. I am enjoying seeing how many people have suddenly changed from Sent-hate to Sent-sad regarding his health though.
I may not be pro or anything, but if they nerf characters then ultimately it’s something users of character X just need to get used to. It’s harsh to say, but it’s also true on at least one level.
I honestly can’t see Capcom looking at all the posts saying “It’s such an extreme nerf” and them going “Actually, yes it is. We screwed up on this and went a bit overboard. Let’s revert it” because all the people who DID complain about Sentinel having massive health would then start the waterworks again. For the time being I would expect Capcom to be trying to keep as many of the casual gamers playing as they can by doing whatever they can to do that, whilst knowing full well that the majority of hardcore players will just battle through whatever they do regardless of how hardcore players feel about changes made. Although I’m not businessman so I could be completely wrong.
From the way I see it, the first 6 months of any competetive game is pretty much beta testing.
Health nerf to Sent is all that was needed, good shit capcom.
Amaterasu next please and then you can leave the game alone lol.
I think it’s been long enough that I can say this:
Thank you Capcom and Niitsuma’s team for the :s: Launcher Button. When you really sit down to think about it, it really does streamline the experience so you can focus on the more important things. I used to negative edge :qcf: attacks in MvC2 after launcher. Not anymore. I sincerely appreciate that.
I would also like to express satisfaction with having all attacks on the R-Trigger (I’m a pad player). Dashing was a chore in MvC2 because the speed of the game required quick inputs of :lp:+:hp:, which was often disastrous. Now I can wave-dash and move about with ease. This is something else I appreciated more after thinking about it.

There is no “this game is ass” bandwagon. Just people seeing it for what it is.
Balance patches at 1 month. Yeah, really easy to take this game seriously isn’t it?
You don’t think it’s playing both ends when you complain about facets of the game and then criticize it when it tries to address some issues? What exactly can this game do, outside of a complete overhaul because that’s unreasonable imo, but what can it *do *to satisfy you at this point? You can’t complain about it as it is and then complain when it tries to fix itself. The presence of a patch shows that Capcom is taking this very serious.
I understand some of Jocelot’s point; at this juncture it’s kinda strange for people who are dissatisfied to a certain degree to continue playing knowing they aren’t happy with the product.
That’s one month + all the tournaments that go around all the people playing online.
That’s like 690+ Hours and with all the hordes and hordes of people playing is it really that bad they did an update patch?
It doesn’t take half a year to fix or balance stuff in a game.

I still don’t like the launcher button. I had no problems launching in any other Vs. game.
I did. And now we can both launch with no problems. This is called win-win.
I would actually say it’s more like 2-3 tournaments that have viable data (i.e. large enough player pool, high level players, etc.) and that online play should never* be used to determined balance for a fighting game which to me is an insufficient amount of information to base changes on (except for actual glitches those should be fixed ASAP).
*Online play can be used in making an argument for changes when connectivity allows for a flawless replica of IRL play.
