They didn’t nerf the assist. Reducing his health makes it much easier to punish his assist though - before it was very difficult to maintain a combo on a Sentinel assist long enough to kill it - now it will be a no brainer.
Oh no… you have to carefully decide when to use your assist instead of spamming, what a disaster.
Like the month one tiers list, like the month one X Characters is OP, or this character is overused posts/threads I’ve been seeing all over SRK. Many of you brought this nerf upon your own heads, and please you guys stop acting as if its the end for sentinel, he’s still good.
Pretty much, that why you don’t run around spewing trash that you have know clue about.
Sent was OP he had safe stuff High health and Massive damage and speed and made easier to play than his mvc2 counter part.
yall lucky they didn’t nerf his damage and leave his health, then he’d be truly useless.
My main beefs with the nerf are for several reasons:
- It was unexpected.
- It was done just over a month after the game came out.
- It did not nerf what people hated about Sent.
- Buffing not-so-good characters is almost always better than nerfing something.
Whatever happened to letting a game grow and evolve over time? I really hope this game doesn’t get “the Blizzard treatment” as far as nerfs and buffs go. Unless it was a gamebreaking glitch like the Zero glitch, nothing should be nerfed or buffed until at least after Evo.

Does anyone else find it funny the buffed his damage output? Yeah he needed it after the health mode, just what a weird way to “fix” him.
I guess if they wanted to stop outcry before coming up with a real solution, this is probably the easiest way to do so.

a lot of people overreacting ,sentinel is still the beast that can ocv you team, sentinel still have all the options he had, now you guys will just have to think a bit when calling his assist and work on his defensive game
good sentinels will still be good sentinels and sentinel will still be high/top tier material

Combination of assist and health nerf. My guess is he will be good just not OP.
Yes he had counters but still he was picked on alot of teams by everyone so yes I was say he was OP.
A little more damage is lulz tho.

Either the guide was wrong, or Tronn’s standing medium deals more damage? That would be one random buff.
As far as i can tell spiderman got a lil buff as well. Not sure about others, Capcom I’d like some sort of list…
You can always delete your game data and check how it was prepatch. I noticed that some of Sentinel’s damages were different than what was listed in the SRK hyper guide, reverted, and verified that they hadn’t actually changed.
Another fun fact: if you have Jill in a reserve slot and try to start a game without her downloaded, it will put Ryu in that slot with his alpha assist instead. (Tested with first slot of second team with beta assist.) I’m kind of curious what it will do if you have a Jill/Shuma team saved, but I’ve only got Jill. Ryu/Ryu/Akuma team, go!
My least favorite thing about this patch is capcom not even bothering to release patch notes. What the fuck Capcom.

What is the official input for dragon punch? and is calling it the “z” motion noobish?
My guess atm is forward, down, downforward, forward?
I can do them with ease on the left side of the stick but struggle or have to change the positioning of my fingers to do it on the right. I wanna make it perfect so I can play a better Haggar/Thor 
EDIT: Also, can someone tell me the username of the guy with an avatar of Sentinel with mangos behind it. He made my avatar and I wanna ask him to make a new one. I think his name is Mommumbo or something…?

Couldn’t care less Sentinel got nerfed. Everyone screamed ‘nerf Sent’ like a week ago and now that he’s nerfed people complain.

So the last forward isn’t needed. Any tips on how to perfectly execute that on the left side of a joystick?
