Question: Who has the best otg assist? Like, fast, least punishable (less ending animation frames) good active frames, good hitboxes etc. Is it Wesker? I think the dude is kinda overused if not damaging and cool.

Also thoughts on team Darkstalkers?

I play this team. It is not for the faint of heart. Fun, but it’s almost always an uphill battle.

My guess would be Wesker. It’s fast, can set up unblockables and you get Wesker on your team as a bonus

Team Darkstalkers in my opinion has good synergy but Hsien Ko and Felicia are… “sub par”. Morrigan is pretty good though, so using her on point with Hsien Ko’s Armored assist and Felicia’s Low assist might be decent overall.

felicia’s not bad, she just needs meter.
I will agree though that lei lei didn’t translate well, she’s kind of a poke/quick combo character. Needs meter.

Never said she was, it’s just that as of now she kind of pales in comparison to the rest of the cast.

Hsien Ko’s fate was such a pity. I was really excited for her and in the end we got a super slow version of her with one of her coolest tools - pendulum canceling - removed.

If you ask me, special move dive kicks should be better then command normal dive kicks. and yes command normal dive kicks should lose to DPs.

As of right now Felicia is definitely the best of the 3 Darkstalkers. Felicia may not be easy to use but compared to Morrigan it’s easier to just run around and get a mix up in. She has a stupid ass good level 3 XF and really solid normals that aren’t terribly hard to pressure with once you get in. Her actual execution outside of XF is a bit difficult but that’s considering Morrigan has even weirder execution just to move around on the stage. Plus she has a 5 frame command grab so you can get that poor man’s Wesker effect.

Check the WNF replays 4.1 or 4.2 has a decent amount of Ross’s Thor. But eh hmm, might be some other Thors worth watching tooo_O

Not a fan of Mike Ross’ Thor myself, Justin’s Thor on the other hand- I know he hasn’t used him since that one time at WNF but it just looked exactly how Thor SHOULD be played, only thing really lacking was the danger of resets and tick grabs but the manoeuvrability of J.Wong’s Thor when I first saw it was just crazy.

Watching UFGT last night and seeing Hsien Ko being played in VS…they literally could have just ported her play style from that game and she’d be more than competitive. I remember hearing stuff about how they were afraid they couldn’t make her in a way where she wouldn’t be too good but I can’t imagine her being too much more good than Dante or Wesker even then.
