No it didn’t and yes it is much better.The game is probably one of Capcoms most balanced games ever,which is a surprise considering it’s a VS installment.

Honestly, there isn’t really much wrong with the [new] version of TvC outside of a few minor quibbles like maybe pushblocking not being effective enough, standing normals and juggle states, etc. But as a marvel player even though its more “confined” I don’t see it as a bad thing. I mean the tiers are more compressed, everyone has options to combo into stuff, everyone has air dashes and double jump, baroque and mega crash is good.
Really, there’s nothing wrong with TvC in relation to MvC2 besides the fact it isn’t MvC2, so you shouldn’t treat it that way. BTW, I agree with Airthrow about the lack of choosing assist types to be kinda dumb but since everyone in marvel always picks the best assists types anyways it doesn’t really matter. I actually like that more restricted time frame on assists in TvC now that I’m used to it. Don’t have to worry about baiting CapCom or Psy AAA all the time. You can’t call out Sent ground and Tron Proj 24/7. I like Marvel but I personally felt the abuse was a bit ridiculous as times. And not in a good way.

secondly, I thought EA or somebody paid for exclusive video game rights to most of the Marvel characters? I highly doubt Capcom could afford to license the characters nowadays if that wasn’t the case

I consider MVC2 to be a fluke. It only became God Tier because of how broken is it. MVC3 will not be as broken that’s for sure.

Tiger knees where born as bugs and are now used on purpose because they added to game play, FADC and 1 frame links were also probably born as bugs themselves.
You’re `probably talking about SF4 1 frame links, i dont really know how they work as SFIV is awful.
When I worked as a beta-testerI had to send a sample bug explained in my CV and I explained Tiger Knees. Some bugs are ignored on purpose (because they add to gameplay) some aren’t.

The fact they were born as bugs does not make them invalid, there are bugs (what would gunz online be without K-Style) exploitable in nice ways that are not intended to be there.
