You have it backwards sir. Capcom revived Strider for MvC1, who had been missing for a decade (ignoring his US Gold-make shitty Genesis-only sequel) and he was so ridiculously popular that they decided to make a sequel to Strider. There’s no reason it can’t happen again.

I hope the first thing they address is what happens next in the MvC storyline. Does Abyss return? I read in a fan fic he absorbs the remains of Apocalypse and returns in 3 as Abocalyss and has 9 different forms. Also, what happened to Ruby Heart?
Proto Seth captured them both, setting himself up as the final boss. I hope the story is as good as MvC2, Capcom raised the bar on that one.

If so, I’m guessing neither will return for this. And Abyss sucks. Hope they use a new badass for a boss, like full-power Sentry or Galactus. Not anything as silly as Yami from Tatsunoko Vs Capcom.
