I thought that a HD version of VS/Darkstalkers was coming out instead, and I also feel that if this Marvel-talk actually happens that it too would be a HD remix of MvsC2… meh.

THey should stick to a modified SF4 engine, we dont need 1000 characters, we just need good ones, make it like capcom vs snk2, not so many chains and spammable moves. fighting games are coming back and why teach the newbies bad play style ??
let them learn how to play fighters properly, then bring out tvc2 with your 3 button mash crap.
this should be a pure fighter, 6 buttons, jab strong fierce etc…

Whats with everyone wanting different games? Why not just make a CvS3 if you want a cvs2 like MvC3? I don’t get it. I wouldn’t mind seeing the return of 6 buttons ala MSH/XvS though, that would be nice but, I don’t know how well it would mesh with MvC2 style comboes (the assists, if they are still around).
If somebody doesn’t think they’re use the TvC engine with new characters they’re kidding. That is the only way to get a MvC3 out in a timely manner, not to mention TvC is awesome. The only question is roster, and while the Capcom side may see some justice (Dante?), expect the Marvel side to be majorly adjusted. Marvel’s changed a lot since the 90’s. I’d love to see Extremis Iron-Man and the X-Men in their Astonishing garb now.
Spider-Man and Venom better be Top Tier.

For example, the Quake 3 engine was also used for Return to Castle Wolfenstein… Call of Duty… Medal of Honor Allied Assault… And McGee’s Alice… Jedi Knight 2. Imagine all of those games at Q3 speed 
Like I said…nothing wrong with tvc except the fact its not mvc…which isn’t and it shouldn’t be.
