I can’t stand X-23’s voice clips, they’re completely out of character and make me wonder how closely Marvel is actually staying involved in this kind of stuff, because they’re obviously terrible representations of the character.

Well, with X, you have to remember she was raised not to have emotions, treated as a weapon. She doesn’t really know how to express herself.

I like X-23 alot, so I’m glad she is included, even if she is acting very much out of character.

Speaking of liking X-23. Out old friend Clover4lyf is scrubbing up the Unity forums and has even gone out of his way to single out folks who post in SRK (including me). Personally, this makes me even happier that’s she’s in (characterization issues aside).

Hmmm, no one seems to be discussing this…

As a special treat, I was able to ask Seth about the four most recent new characters before he got pulled away to work. He says that X-23 has a Blanka-style beast hop, but she has three versions. One puts her in front of you, the next one behind you, and the third one just off the ground for an overhead followup attack. She also has an assist that hits low, and you can set up unblockables with it.

I’m feeling that, there is some assist strats my mind is already making up with her “hops.” Good shit

Yeah, it seems like even if you don’t get an airdash, if you’re a rushdown character you have some way to make your own mixups. Cap has his cartwheel, Sniktbub has overheads out the ass, Felicia has…something, and X now has the bastard lovechild of Blanka’s hops and Ibuki’s command dash.
