Good info in this thread, im still having trouble finding an anchor. i’ve been doing a lot of soul searching and ive (for now) settled on Thor/Storm and thinking about wolvie as an anchor now that i read through this thread. didnt realize he was a viable anchor but it makes sense now with lvl3xf + speed boost and i can still dhc glitch if thor dies.
True. He has some pretty good ways to pop that XF3, such as after an overhead or during blockstun into hyper tatsu (invincible start-up and does over 600,000 damage, which is more than double the original damage). My only problem with Ryu as anchor is that he has trouble opening people up once XF3 has started. He needs to rely on cross-ups with L tatsu/J.S and air-throws. Why the hell can’t Ryu combo from his overhead naturally!? So stupid. Even still, solid anchor.
Hulk is no good as anchor. I personally use doom as anchor because he can do absolutely everything, and hulk as meter burner/second character. (Gamma Crush is the new hyper viper beam)
Keepaway, rush down, zoning…doom can do it. More importantly…he can do it all by himself. No assists necessary. Ground photon shot does no damage, but zones the shit out of people. Plasma beams/doom rocks do nice chip. Triangle jump mediums, and dive kick>dash shenanigans make for good offense. Doom has no problems breaking armor either. And gets a very nice damage/speed buff in L3 XFC.

You guys are sleeping on hulk. I think he’s goes toe-to-toe against anyone who isn’t zoning him out miraculously.

Yes, poor Spiderman. He was my favorite character to button mash in MvC2 which always looked so flashy, even though he still did no damage.
Anyone found video of a pro spiderman blowing people up? I don’t care what tier he is, I just want to see it happen.
I use spiderman on my main team but ugh the web swings are impossable to do on the controller but hes amazing for rushing
