MvC3 Buyers guide. Where to buy the game online

Due to the Capcom Store fiasco, I have an extra sealed PS3 Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Special Edition from Amazon.
Collecting rare music memorabilia and video games items is one of my favorite hobbies.
However, would I better off selling the extra Marvel 3 Special Edition now, or should I hang onto it for a while?
I’d hate to hold onto the MvC3 Special Edition have it rapidly depreciate in value like the Street Fighter IV Collector’s Edition.
Though, I must admit having an extra sealed copy in my collection would be nice.

Do what you think is best. If the ebay prices look like you’re going to make a profit, then you probably should do it. Otherwise, holding onto it will have some merit, although the Marvel Subscription expires some time in June, so you lose some value if you hold on even for a few months. We probably won’t see a ‘Super’ version of the game though, if that’s what your worried about… outcries from both professional and casual players about numerous things has given many a sour face.

Not sure if it’s as relevant since MVC3 is pretty easy to get a hold of, but MVC2 sells for ~$500 for dreamcast sealed on Amazon.

I’d hold on to it if you’re not strapped for cash.

PS I just got my Special Edition in the mail from Capcom. My tracking info still says it’s in Indiana. Don’t trust that horrible tracker. I would have pulled my hair out waiting for this copy if I hadn’t picked up a regular edition from Best Buy.

Thanks for the feedback! The fact that the Digital Comic subscription will expire at the end of June, does diminish the special edition’s value slightly. However, I believe the steel case and comic book are very cool and will make nice collectors items in the future.

Though, If the MvC3 SE drops down in value to $20 bucks in a year’s time, like the SF4CE of 2009, I’ll be livid.
