I emailed Josh Deane from Kmart gamer regarding CE availability, and he replied with an .xls detailing which stores are getting how many copies. He specified Capcom allocated 700 total CE versions to Kmart company-wide.
In my neck of the woods, I believe thereās only 2 or 3 stores getting any copies whatsoever, and in those cases itās roughly 1 per console. :shake:

my store is getting 1. Do you guys think its worth it to get the CE edition just for the 2 DLC characters? I couldnāt give a shit about the box, manual, posters, or crap. I just want the game disc. Or should I wait for used copies after a week and just get the game for like $40 and buy the DLC characters?
Basically my question boils down to is, how much do DLC characters usually cost from previous fighting games?

The only one Iāve heard of with DLC chars is BlazBlue (one of them) and reportedly they were $8.
Capcom hasnāt announced a DLC char price yet for MvC3 but everyone speculates on $5 a piece presumably because the SE/CE is $10 over and includes Shuma and Jill.
I thought they were going to announce more details about future char DLC by now but maybe theyāre waiting to do it either tomorrow or Monday. Iām hoping for no more than $5, with mention of a āpackā or discount on buying multiple at once.
Without going into it, because I know DLC is a sensitive issue, but yeah, IMO, the DLC characters will be a minimum of $5, wouldnāt be surprised if even a little more. I dont think people generally think how much goes into a character in a fighting game (balance movesets w/ all the quirks, voiceover work, etc. and I could go on). At $5, Ill buy every single one. When it comes to this game, I understand people have characters they want (Mega Man, Phoenix Wright, etc.), but to me, there is no bad character that can be added. The more the marrier! (even if they arenāt my personal choices).
But to go back on track, my Capcom order still showing In process. Im sure itāll update later in the day, although Im thinking about using some of my GS credit to get a SE copy ordered for Tuesday, just in case as Im off on Tuesday, and Ill be playing this game, one way or another. : )
Seth specifically said that the combined cost of both Jill & Shuma will not be $10 and did not justify getting the SE simply for the inclusion of them in the package, implying it would be less.
You can quote me on that although I canāt find the sourceā¦ it was mentioned back when the SE was announced.
