I guess we’ll see how this turns out. If it is in the item description for TheHut then I would expect the t-shirt; additional Capcom listed TheHut specifically for the pre-order offer.
Capcom staff @ Capcom Europe substantiated it. BUT they also mentioned only ONE store in the UK would exclusivley have the right to sell the steelbook (and only the steelbook, no added content) as a pre-order bonus ! Guess who friend ? GAMESTATION. They just uploaded a pack shot on their site as well : Product - Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds Steelbook Edition (Gamestation Exclusive)
Fear not robo (BTW, did you get a confirmation from them yet?) And all you euro cats wanting ONLY the comic book, shopto is your one outlet. Furthermore, Capcom has stated that sometime after the intial release there will be a collectors edition eventually sold en mass here as well.
My losing streak is finally over! God bless you, good sir! And yeah I got a confirmation email. I can live without the extras, it was the case I wanted. It’s gonna look so pretty!
Unfortunately mine isn’t, already pre-ordered my rudimentary edition locally here in Greece. Oh well, I’ll just wait for the CE to be released at a later time and slang off my old copy to some unassuming, distraught cousin of mine lol.
Bless all of us ! See you kiddos on PSN, where wolverine/dormammu will wreak havoc on your projectile gimmick teams
Europe will get a SE at some point? Thats good i guess…but i will already have the game by then and unless its comes with some heavy duty extras, i cant see me buying it again…
But something bothered me: there’s no SE for Europe. On MvC3 official blog, they were the only one european shop with an SE aviable. Their advertising about that SE is everywhere on the internet (if you browse from Italy).
2 weeks ago, I called Multiplayer.com on the phone. After my detailed description of this situation, they told me that Halifax gives them info. So the staff guy said they’ll call Halifax for more info about it and, if there’s no SE, they’ll report it to costumers. They’re a very good shop but they didn’t report anything yet.
I’m wondering about this myself, I was planning on doing store pickup through BB.com on CE but now I see the “3 to 5 day” thing as well. I wonder if that means they have the copies on hand already at the warehouse and they take 3-5 days from [pre]ordering to ship to the store which (if ordering soon) would make the 2/15 launch window? IDK. I’m going to order one, if it’s available for pickup 2/15, awesome; if it’s not I’ll figure something else out.
I know a few weeks ago it didn’t say “3 to 5” for CE, it said “available for pickup 2/15” like you said. Either they decided to change the verbiage or they’re OOS for 2/15 pickup.
Did you already pre-order it? I’m hoping that what happened is they just changed it once they reached their pre-order limit. Then again, I hear multiple stories that BB is famous for taking pre-orders and not filling them. Someone in this thread was warning me about them originally.
Normally, I’m patient enough to wait for it if it didn’t come out on the 15th. I’d be pissed and someone would still most likely get a minor ass chewing but that would be it. I don’t like taking unpaid time off of work along with my friend so we can hang together and play said game. I don’t know. I’ll have to figure something out if it doesn’t come in on time.
I’ve gotta run some errands today. I’ll stop in at my BB and find out exactly what’s going on. Hopefully I get a straight answer.
No, didn’t preorder yet.
My plan was to just plain order it online and do store pickup at midnight 2/14 into 2/15 but I’m debating whether to do that or preorder it. I haven’t preordered anything there before but from what you’ve said (and knowing the lackadaisical stuff that goes on at BB), I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t fulfill preorders like they’re supposed to. That’s why I’m wondering if just a midnight time general order is more likely to get filled than a preorder done a week in advance now.
Well it looks like I was potentially right. Talked to the “in-store pickup” guy at my BB today and explained the situation to him. He looked up my info and told me mine should arrive on the 15th. I asked him what the deal was with the website changing things up. He told me what I basically said before: once they hit their pre-order limit they switched the hard date to the “3 to 5 days shipped” date. I still feel uneasy about it and probably will until I actually have the game in my hands but we’ll see. Email confirmation telling me the 15th and in-store pickup guy telling me the 15th should be convincing enough but it just isn’t.
So if you were looking for the CE, then you might be SOL on that one. Unless they have spare copies around. Otherwise you should be good with the SE. Pre-order or not.
Thanks for the update, I guess I’ll check their site the night before at midnight and see if I can add it there; if not, I’ll swing by the store when they open Tuesday to see if I can get lucky enough to nab one off the shelf (or on the cart before they stock it).
You can TRY to preorder it at Target… but I work at Target and even I wouldn’t trust a pre-order to be there on time. It looks like they still have the special edition in stock.
