A hurt box is, unless I have my terminology fucked up, the vulnerable area of a character basically. IE Ammy has a tiny hurt box, Sents is fucking massive.
And Ammy is like top 3. Sent hardly scrapes top ten. Top tier assist, not top tier character.
I believe those are called Attackable Areas or AAs Ammy’s AA isn’t that great but Sent’s AA is the biggest and best in the game.

by the way, hit boxes and HURTboxes are two completely different things. a HITbox refers to the box your attack has when it becomes active…because it HITS them. A HURT box is the box around your character at all times that tells the game when you receive damage…as in when an opponents HITBOX touches your characters HURTBOX. Stay free.
no way is dog vs sentinel 9-1. 6-4, 7-3, hell, maybe even 8-2 i can believe but 9-1? no way.
before the nerf, sentinel is definitely top 5. i don’t care how you spin it, but with 1.3 million hp, you can survive nukes and 2 world wars.
after the nerf, i dont think hes even top 10. top 15 for sure though. damage is still good, assist is still good.
its just that one slip up can cost you the character now and not always easy to avoid getting hit when you’re the biggest character in the game with below average hp. when characters like wolverine have more hp and move 5x faster than you, you know you’re not gonna make top 5 anytime soon.
Just as a bystander who watches the thread, I think its time to move past discussing who is top 5. I think it is generally agreed upon that Phoenix, Wesker, Ammy, Dante, and Magneto are the top 5 in no particular order as discussing who is better within that group is just circular.
I think its time move on to the tier below that where things start to widen up a lot.
Also, it gets brought up a lot on what actually a character should be evaluated on. Value to team, which means that assists can and should be taken into account. Granted a good assist is not as valuable as in Marvel 2, but it still is factored in. Example being Wesker, in any slot he is useful because his OTG assist brings value and makes a lot of characters considered low tier better. He is not hot as a DHC but can still DHC off of a lot of stuff to get him in.
Alright then, what about Morrigan (when paired with Wesker’s OTG assist)?
Morrigan’s dash just isnt juicy enough. I’ve tried and tried and tried. She HAS to have SentDrones to have any kind of viable rushdown game. And you cant play Morrigan in any other manner but rushdown.
Finally the top 5 sounds correct.

Morrigan has good zoning. Your primary objective with Morrigan should be to use fireball zoning to keep people out or establish positions to rushdown. Sent drones are great for her when rushing and zoning, but aren’t necessary. What’s necessary for her is meter more than anything else.
It is a simple as this. Offensive sent. most sent’s will sit back and throw spit/drones till they are behind on life then they start trying to boot xx frying pan right? my friend plays sent and the secret lies in his command grab and normal grab sure if you dont have meter you probably not going to get that much after it(though he does have a 700k damage combo that uses 2 meters but builds one anywhere on screen mind you and he can start DHC glitch after it ) but its enough because it gives him positioning and more time to get in. Along with making you want to jump/throw/airthrow/advance guard him right?
This dude does empty jump command grab i swear to you it is the scariest shit in the game besides xfactor logan with berserker charge and lets say you wise up to and realize his pattern or something he will start trying to air grab or boot xx frying pan you then you in trouble because you NEVER want to press buttons in the air versus sent right? cause your not gonna beat him unless your name is Logan or Zero boom free air grab then you wise up to him jumping in all the time right?
then he will jump-in wait for you to jump then he double jumps backwards and boot xx frying pans which leads to a dead character and this dude has only been playing with sent for like a week and a half your best bet is zoning him out if he starts getting offensive but then if he feels like it he can fight you with sents better then average zoning game jump back boot to control the entire air in front of him then spit xx fly and drones gets pretty difficult to do anything against.
also sent just has some intangible’s that make him valuable to team like
- you cant preform any mixup on him while hes coming in on screen hard drive > you
- maybe its just me but when hes sent starts rushing down i tend to get a little nervous which leads to mistakes and missed opportunities on my part
- look into his eyes and you get mindfucked “die!!! yield!!! neutralize neutralize!!!”
- hes a fuck cold-hearted robot who would kill your family and eat your kids without even caring…:lol:
- drones assist aren’t REALLY intangible but im putting it anyway because its tied for best assist with tron flame and im sure most people will agree with that
I know Jean is a beast and all but is she so beast that u had to list her twice? 
taskmaster is top 5 imo.
