[MvC2] Wavedash into throw

Nope, to wave dash you dash then cancel the dash with a crouch and then immediatly dash again and repeat as needed.

The fun you can have with TiA using his tactic.
Example:
If you manage to get close with Cap Am and you’re backed by IM in second and Tia that’s a dead character if you have 2 levels of meter. Cute trick with a lower tier character :evil: …

Call IM, Kick throw, outranged charging Star XX Final Justice, wait till the final hit slams them on the ground, and DHC Proton Cannon.

You’re gonna laugh when you hear this, but the way I wavedash is by mashing d+lp+hp till I’m where I want to be. Works awesome for me. The only problem is if I just blocked something I end up guardpushing, so instead I go…

f,f, [d+lp+hp]xN

I do that when I actually throw(doom/chun/sak/tron) but when I try to throw INTO an assist, I always get a snapback, so I’m cautious about that shit. But yea, for mags, it’s helllllllllllllllllllla good. :slight_smile:

My reputation as a turtle is unfounded. Just because I play Blackheart and Doom in MvC2 and Honda in CvS2 (by far his least fun incarnation), everyone calls me a turtle. LOL, whatever! Play my Storm and then we’ll talk … fear fierce/rh rushdown! :lol:

No, he won’t grab, he’ll do a Cyclone Kick.

If you do qcf and hk, he’ll throw them.

ok, cool. then what about w/ punch, for him, or is his kick version better?

and what about mags? wave dash, gcf and k also?

Think of it this way, you can wavedash into a throw with anyone as long as they don’t have a qcf or qcb plus a punch/kick move.

For example, Magneto can do it with either punch or kick because his specials require half circle motions. Now take . . . Captain Commando for example, you can’t wavedash and do qcf + hp because you’ll obviously do a Captain Fire. You can do qcb + hp because it doesn’t initiate a special attack.

But anyhoo, it is a very useful technique. Especially with Dhalsim’s command grab…Combo video #…7? I’ve tried it in actual gameplay, pretty tough to keep peeps on the ground these days.

Wouldnt qcb+hp initiate Capt. Corridor?

and another thing, when I try to do that, my char just throws out a hp/hk whichever I try to use. How does the timing go on this one? Is it kinda the same as wavedashing? I can do that pretty good.
