Only referencing this could lead to that from ROM. Nothing new, but just adding a vid flavor for hungry eyes. You already mentioned the basics: go high/low/left/right/throw/block+assist/hit into assist.

don’t worry judge. i appreciate it and i know a few mag players who will appreciate a video tree of resets. I don’t think it has to limit anything or cover all possible resets… i think it just needs to get your juices flowing and show you things you might not have known. Someone such as myself has a lot to learn and i don’t want to spend a lot of time working my way thru at a snails pace simply because it don’t know. So keep it coming

I know in my case, and other player’s cases, everything about resets I learned from what is already on this site, and videos that are already out there. oh, and a bit of practice. it does not take a snails pace, it takes the right amount of time for you to practice to even be able to use it.
it’s just laziness. everything is available to you on the internet, you just don’t want to do the work.
yes, the lazy people may appreciate it. There is no reason for judge to do this when everything is already out there and explained and plenty of people still able to answer questions about them. if you work just a bit and try to think a little, you can find the answers for yourself and think of them yourself.
again, judge, this is pointless and actually probably just a nice thing you are doing, but It’s good that you are taking the time and work to learn a bit about magz yourself, as it seems like others don’t
seriously, RyanC, why wait. start going through the threads, watching vids, going into practice mode, and asking questions if neccessary. but try to have no DUMB questions. I.E. questions you didn’t even actively think about, or questions that have already been answered.
you don’t, and I or other players didn’t, need a new vid of reset trees.

I would hope you see the point, and I’ll just try not to bring it up anymore, but seriously, stop being lazy people and start being more active. watching a vid does not help any more than practicing it, seeing the vid that is already out there, or actively reading and thinking about what is written.

That was quite a rant beats. If i didn’t have respect for rants i would be tempted to rant back myself. Actually i think i will. There are a few things your assumptions don’t address and are wrong.

I have done my research
I have scoured the magneto thread for information. There is either way too much or too little or its not organized well enough. On my computer i have a folder and subfolders dedicated to information and videos of magz and storm and every other character i play. -
In no way am i lazy.
I practice every day at least 15 minutes to as much as 3 hours just so i can stay on it and get better. I simply want to know useful resets and how to execute them. Also some resets i might not have seen or thought about are helpful as well. -

I mean dang beats wsup with the anger? I agree that after a certain point your natural creativity should take over and help you make your own resets and combos. But knowing how to do rom reset grabs is rough to try to understand by yourself especially if you live in Indianapolis,IN and have no one to practice with regularly and no one answers your question about it. -
Well thats all i really have. This really is pointless. But yeah if i had someone to consistently play against then i would be able to practice resets. But against block almighty high and lo computer… resets just don’t work in the same way. But yeah i see what you saying Beats… but i still want the vid.

I just don’t know. your points 1 and 2 did not really help your cause. honestly, sounds like you practice more than me, and have perhaps done more source searching than me also. but perhaps your research skills are lacking in the effort departent

I did mention to “do what you do” but as long as you understand my points and how you are coming off as. there is no anger, I assure you. you don’t practice against other people for resets really…yes you may try them out, but every reset I figured out by myself from what’s on here or in vids and asking questions (I honestly don’t think I asked any). The reason why I needed to rarely ask questions is because they are usually already answered if you do some reading. and generally, I don’t see a need for a lot of questions concerning resets.
as long as it physically works in practice mode, every reset is viable. doing them against a human is just after the fact. all the resets your read or see in vids don’t need further testing against humans. you either read or see that they work, and just practicing the execution against a dummy is all you need.

I have a question, and this video shows part of that…
Yipes do a combo like this in the video: ROM, Corner, sj. lp, sj. lk, sj. lp, sj. lk, adf, lp, lk, lp, lk Grav XX Tempest (combo against sentinel)… In the video of second post, chunksta scaped once… So my question is -> Can I mash out this combo 100% of the time with Sentinel? I know its very hard, but I dont know if its 100% possible or sometimes its impossible to mash out…
I’m no magnetro on the subject… but is it humanly possible to mash out 100% of the time? I would lean towards no. Sentinel’s hit box is so big that once magz traps him against the wall, mashing to escape is very difficult as you have to hold block once you mash enough. It can be done… but its difficult. Magneto’s MT against the wall is the most reliable way to do it aside from the unmashable variations.
People do different variations on HGxxMT to make it harder to escape 100%.
Just a simple magic series, AD/F magic series HGxxMT on sent, sent goes above magneto’s head before the hypergrav goes out. The biggest mistake you see here is that people start mashing too early. You wanna wait till you get grav’d then start mashing.
Something where you are closer to magneto, like a rom, s.RHxxHGxxMT, you are gonna want to start mashing sooner, as you will be getting the grav alot faster.
Sentinel on the wall is harder to escape in general, midscreen on normal characters is prolly at about 85% mashable in the right hands.
about escaping hg->mt:
*if you mash before the hypergrav hits it’ll count less than if you start mashing as soon as the hypergrav connects.
*the reason mashing in the corner is so hard is because usually the magneto will put himself inside the corner so that the hypergrav hits as late as possible. this doesn’t work mid-screen since if magneto tries to dash “into” sentinel, he’ll end up crossing him up.
*usually, the best way to mash out of hgxxmt is by doing 3 swipes of the buttons and wiggling the stick (usually 3 times is enough). the thing is, the timing is more important than sheer unbridled mashing. These clips on zachs site show mashing out of hgxxmt with a programpad/stick.

I made some combos when I was bored tonight. They’re all done by hand and to prove it, I recorded my hands for the combo that I did. I didn’t get to do any of the hard stuff tonight but I’ll probably do them tomorrow or sometime in the week.
