MVC2: Sentinel/Cable/CapCom

ok, i’m kidding. but just wondering…CAN son son be ok? her wall climb can get to cable, can’t it? cancel wall climb once close to avoid getting hit by commando, call doom or some other assist to stuff commando, and attack cable. ok, i really suck agianst cable. but i’ve been into a son son groove for awhile now. she’s just so fun!

I would have to say Cable/Storm/Cyclops beats Sentinel/Cable/Commando with counter/counter/counter. Of course, as previously mentioned, switching the order also switches the match’s favor. Sentinel/Strider/Doom also does well…but its a Strider/Doom team, so there are inherent risks in choosing that team as well. Sentinel/Cable/Doom (Genghis’ old team) also should beat this team, simply because Doom beats CapCom. If its Sentinel vs Sentinel, Cable is a sufficient anti air to bother Sentinel and Doom eats Commando. Just make sure YOU’RE Cable doesn’t become too depleted. All in all, I think Sentinel/Cable/CapCom is one of the safest teams in the game, along with Storm/Sentinel/Commando and MSP…the results speak for themselves. All these teams have easy, practical ways to win.

How about Mag/XXX/Commando?

Mag/Capcom is pretty tough for Sent, IMO, and if he kills Sentinel, he’ll go through Cable like a fat woman through a Sizzler. And they pretty much have to start Sent, since Mag/Capcom is direct counter/counter for Cable/Sent-Y. Dunno who to put in that middle spot…Cable? Storm? Juggernaut?:smiley: j/k

1)well as soon as he does the laser there is a split second gap that allows u to dash out of the trap by goin under the drones and past the ice… requires a lot of precision…

2)or u can take the ice hit so it can pop u into the air allowing u to dash,fly or super so u can punish the trapping bastard

3)u can also call out your assist to take the hits when u have cable and modifying immediately…

2 and 3 require sacrifices but u should be willing to make them cuz it will get u out and allow u to punish.

have more strats but cant think of them cuz nobody really plays that shit against me anymore… i’ll try and remember the rest and post at a later time…

Another option is to tag out over the drones. You only have to block one hit of the Inferno, so just tag out right after the laser and just as you see the drones come out, and the tag in will hit Sentinel and send him flying, giving you a free combo.

That’s my favourite thing to do.

actually, son son can be a big threat to sentinel only as an assist. her aa covers alot of range that will keep sent out of the sky. the only problem with sonson is that she does not take damage all that well.

If you are going to use her, use her as bait to punish comando and knock sentinel out of the sky. Her rushdown is ok, but not that effective against this team. Plus, I don’t think that you want to play sent one-on-one using sonson if it comes down to that.

Cable, Storm, Cammy. If they put Cable 1st then Storm, Cable, Cammy.

yeah cable/doom can beat this team. also just like cable wins in general…like most fights.

What the hell are you talking about your filling all the S&T full of shit…

If Sent gets Cable in the corner and Cable has Doom for his anti air then Cable will have a tuff time getting out of the corner.

I like using mag/storm/cyc against that team, all I do is bait capcom than conters it with cyc aaa then I rush sentinel’s fat ass :stuck_out_tongue: If I hit him once, I either do a big damaging combo or snap capcom in. As soon as you kill either capcom or sentinel with mag, it’s game over, you can even just run away with storm and still win the match :stuck_out_tongue:

The other team I like to use against team homo is sentinel/mag/cable.

mag/xxx/doom is good too against sentinel/capcom, sentinel can’t call capcom anytime he wants because doom aaa will stop capcom aaa, but you gotta be carefull cause sentinel can stomp on doom.
