Cody said that White Knight was a bit overrated because the only tournament he had really won prior to Evo was that one in Floridia. I mean I’m sure WK is a good player just as you’re probably a decent player. But you or WK haven’t really proved anything in any majors so you can’t expect people to be in awe of you. I don’t see how it’s mean when he says that you guys haven’t earned the respect that a lot of the top players have. Just because you’re the best in your area doesn’t mean you deserve respect without having won any big tournaments with any big players. Sorry for us being across the fucking country from California Psy. Maybe you can pay for the whole A.South crew’s airline tickets so we can come play you guys in a national. It’s really fucking closed minded of west coast peeps to think that just cause we aren’t from your area of the states that we suck. I haven’t won a fucking national or been to one, but I have been to SHGL and played pretty well. I don’t have time to devote the stuff that you guys do to these games. I haven’t won a national, and on the scale I know I can’t hang with the top players, but you guys writing some of these other people off because of their region is fucking ridiculous. We’d love to have an ECC in the south, or an Evo, but right now all we have is final round. And the comp is always good. If I recall Arturo came down for FR4, and about 100 or so people came to play. I’d say that’s a pretty good turnout for a place that isn’t recognized like Cali or Seattle.
We’re definitely not the best. No one ever said that but damn near everybody in the west is acting like we did.
FR5 was held in GA, btw. Get your facts straight.

Aiight man, I can respect that. Sorry for going off, I just don’t like people puttin it like Cody did. If they put it like you did, cool, I can respect that.
I know about the proving thing to, but like I said, distance is a big issue for a lot of us because to travel that far requires a lot of money. A whole bunch of us were planning on going to Evo but nobody could afford it. All I’m sayin is that all of us in the area have caught that elitest attitude from a lot of people and that shit gets damned annoying, as I’m sure you can imagine. And with this stuff with White Knight… as soon as he didn’t do as well as he could, people, no no, the vultures jumped all over him. Correct me if I’m wrong but a lot of the top players didn’t make it, did they? I didn’t see anybody jumping down their throats. That’s why the shit is irritating. White knight’s a good kid and didn’t deserve the hate directed towards him when he didn’t do anything. Anyway, the elitest attitude that is shown around from time to time can get incredibly annoying, that’s my main beef.
Oh yeah, one last thing, when I was talking about not having the time to devote to these games, I meant it just like that. I’m not saying anybody doesn’t have a life or whatever, nothing like that. I just simply don’t have the time because of my job.
Some of the people who are jumping on WK aren’t only doing it because he didn’t make it. They’re also jumping on him because of the first hand reports of other people who have actually played him or seen him play. I got a chance to play WK twice. I beat him once and he beat me once. From what I saw, the sticks didn’t seem to be bothering him. His execution was clean and he wasn’t making any mistakes that would’ve been caused by bad sticks. Every combo he hit was landed perfectly. However, he just wasn’t as good as a lot of people said he was. I’ve played a lot great players and don’t get me wrong, WK is good. But I’ve seen plenty of players here in So Cal that I felt were better than he was.
