just use who happened to place top X (5, 8, 16, whatever) in this tourney. a lot of it will come down to opinion/experience (or lack thereof) anyway. aside from the only person who has really proven himself (VDO) IRL at tourneys/majors/in MMs/etc. (even though heās probably using one of the weakest low tier teamsā¦though Iād have to see what others are playing)

Yeah, it would not have been possible to really seed the very first tourney. I donāt know everybodyās game - just recognize a few names from playing, SRK and the scoreboards.
Next tourney weāll have some history to go on, so it will be easier to balance.
Thereās not a real need to know who is beginner or intermediate; just the approximate top 20% or 25% of the field. IMO the goal is to ensure that two heavy hitters donāt end up meeting 2nd round or something like that. Thatās all; not shooting for perfect seeding. Itās just a caz tourney anyway.
P.S. I would not consider myself an āexpertā; maybe upper intermediate.
