I thought MS will still fix RROD outside of warranty? I heard some guys at work have been able to get it done with no prob a few times over.

there is a date on the back of the xbox. If the xbox red rings no more than 3 years after that date, its a free fix from microsoft. All you have to do is call them and set it up. Usually takes about a 1-2 weeks for them to get it back to you and if they can’t fix it, they send you a new one. I had a friend do this a while ago.

edit: I believe you don’t need a proof of purchase either. Just having the xbox is all you need.

i couldn’t care less what cl0ck and especially wong (who doesn’t even like the game anymore) really say about it…they just do NOT feel right. what I DO care about is…that there really isn’t much that can be done to change it. nothing will. I’ll probably still bitch about it, but fuck. GAMME and SB5 might just be the tourneys to go to anyway. DC>XBOX360>PS3 imo.

I’m not fully used to it and others are not either (it’s not even something you get used to…like a controller or arcade to DC. the system is just wrong [clock’s argument on this was off imo]). heck, they don’t even bother playing msp anymore. just play fucking scrub or thrax. so yeah, if you play teams like that, good for you. if not, oh well. “get used to it” :rolleyes:

who cares the ROM fucks up hella much. who cares that tight, but easy on the DC, DHCs and frame kills to unblockables don’t work well. that you risk DHCing to a proton cannon after your opponent blocks…or too late and your game is thrown away (xbox360 issue mostly). just forget about teams with tight DHCs and techs like that, just play matrix or cl0ckwork :looney: oh yeah, sorry jake, but you won’t really be able to do cyc infinites easily like you used to (well…maybe you can?) oh well.

they need to patch this shit seriously.

I think people need to stop bitching about it because:

1)EVO staff honestly doesn’t give a shit, and hosting a BYOC DC side tournament is a slap in the face of their efforts.

yeah. like I said, it doesn’t really matter ONLY for that fact that EVO don’t give a fuck (which is why they’re running it on PS3 unlike GAMME). they are far from the same game (compared to DC and ARC. hell, even PS3 and XBOX versions are really different. it’s so stupid)

Marvel Online runs fine on the 360, anything people can do offline you can do fairly easily online also.

if this is the way mvc2 will live on, I will go with the flow. Which I think is the most important factor here. It really sucks that ps3 marvel is fucked up and we all have to learn brand new things. I for one have notice some pretty wacky things going on with these next gen consoles.

ST has gone through this process before. ST has been on arcade, DC, ps2 two times with ccc2 and AE, and now ps3 for HDR.

Maybe if someone mods 10-15 DC’s so the blue screen never happens and the donates them to EVO, IT MIGHT be put back on DC.
