i need some good players to beat some skill into me. problem is people quit when i pick msp, if i have a good game (by my standards) or if they beat me they act like i am some pro msp player and should never lose and quit and never play me again. i am by no means good but i want to learn the game. i would much rather lose than beat guys to dont even block. if anyone is interested in running some games.

also i had mixup on another tag for a while and i must say GG to him for the add and the perfects.

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! Even though I was on 3 hours of sleep from studying for a final, crack is still super fun. Ended up having coffee, tea, and 2 energy drinks just to do it. Crack! I hadn’t got to play in weeks.

Gg’s to Wenzelsaurus Rex, Nippzor, Mr. Mixup, and Nizmor. Games were tight. Gonna get some sleep and crack out again soon.

also, kinda random but talking on the mic lately while playing, i noticed a lot of you play fps, but seems mostly on the console with a controller, and a lot of you haven’t exposed yourselves to pc gaming too much. i think anyone that likes marvel should check out www.quakelive.com. the same things i like about marvel are the same things i always liked about the quake series. quake live is basically quake 3 HD remix except it’s free and runs out of your web browser. just thought i’d throw it out there.

is that anything like unreal? I’m not at all knowledgeable about FPSs…but whenever I’d be at LAN places with friends, I really enjoyed Unreal as it was pretty out there/crazy. Counter strike was also fun…though I was always just a noobish sniper

what you just said makes you a primary candidate for someone who would really enjoy quake live. yes it’s like unreal in that the action is fast paced and intense. but the overall game play is better in the quake series. there’s tons of high level footage on youtube, you should check it out. people even make “frag videos” which are a lot like combo videos for fighting games. and yes i agree with you on CS. i never liked the game. i understand and can appreciate the skill the high level CS players bring to the table, but the game just isnt’ that fun, imo. especially if you like marvel, you’ll like quake way more than CS.

taiga, quake has been played in tournies since quake 1, up until quake 4. but the most popular one was quake 3. that’s what quake live is, it’s quake 3 hd remix.

quake 3 is killer, i played it for years. The only problem with quake was that theres no variety in weapons, everything shoots straight lol. I really enjoyed playing rail gun instagib tho. Im biased towards UT i played that for years and was tournament level in that damn game, UT so so fucking godlike i miss both UT and Q3 =*(.

I played UT for almost as long as I played Marvel…participated in a few tournaments in that as well!

Aah man, I love quake 3. It just has the best FPS engine period. Plus I played quake live recently and I can still make the bridge to rail strafe jump on campgrounds, so I’m pretty happy. Also. has anyone seen the pros duel on quake before? There are a lot of similarities between it and street fighter… mostly weapons control/ area denial/ pressing the advantage when you get a kill/ outsmarting your opponent, its all good shit :smokin:
