Fucking cheater. AND you’re a whiny fucking scrub.
Complain about me “running away with Scrub” – you forget that I’ve played you before and watched you run away from AMINGO the entire match with the same Santhrax team you pick every time.
I apologize for picking a “competitive team” and waxing your scrub ass with it. My bad. I forgot that this was the Special Olympics and that any tactic that might beat you is hurtful and wrong. What a douche.
I’m always down for games. Just tell me about any special rules before the match. I’m totally fine with almost all custom rule sets (except that if you pick Juggy, Doom, or CapCom, I do tend to want to pick Tron) if you have any. Casual Matches are for experimentation for me, Ranked are for doing whatever lame dumbness wins. I will play a lower tier match in Ranked if I know you and we both pick low tier-ish teams. (I’ll generally try to adhere to the SRK XBLA Low Tier Tourney rules if we play Low Tier.)
Right now I’m trying to better my Amingo and also get used to the timing difference online. I’m particularly interested in playing against Striders, Storms, and Magnuses, since they tend towards the most problematic laggy gameplay online, and I’m trying to figure out how to account for that. I’ll generally be on much more after the middle of the month after a) I get the rest of the year off and b) my gf goes off to see her family.
^ That sounds cool. I’d love to be getting more games down, but I just discovered the new router I just bought is a piece of shit. Local people I played had pings of 800, and I couldn’t get a match online. So I probably won’t be on 'til the middle of the month anyways, or maybe later. I’m not the best player, but I generally know what I’m doing (at least I think I do). I don’t have special rules, and I don’t know good low-tier strategies, I just choose and play (kinda dumb, I know, but I’ve only been playing for about 6 months). I’ve gotten a lot better since I first posted this thread, and I like MSP and Matrix. I’ve been trying to use Clockw0rk, but I’m not very good with Strider (although I find it quite fun to use him).
I can’t promise you a challenge (hell, I can’t promise you will have fun wiping the floor with me lol) but I can tell you that I love Marvel, and even though people say it may be dead soon, I know it won’t be for me.
Anything under 120 ping is usually good. I play the game for fun, so don’t really care what skill level people are at as long as they’re not jackasses. It’s all for fun.
You should play HalfManHalfAmzg (think that’s right?) – KillerKai, Shoultzula, and the Strider guy from Canada - they can all teach you a lot. I find that about 1000% of playing as Clockw0rk and playing against it is just the small things that add up. They’ve got a lot to show. I only know how to do OK against that team, not how to play it.
Alright, I’ll see about those guys. Those are their gamertags? Yeah, I see how Clockw0rk can make a big difference in small ways.
On a very depressing note (and this is for anybody else reading this thread as well), I just discovered that both Hori EX2 arcade sticks I bought about 3 months ago have broken , so I either have to play on a controller or not play at all. I aints gots noes muhnees, so a decent arcade stick soon is pretty much out of the question. Well, the semester is ending, and that means I’ll sell my books, so there is still hope.
At least the cabinet at my community college still works great .
I am total scrub at MvC2 but I never quit. If anyone has some suggestions on getting better I would love to hear them. Eventhubs.com has some good tips for getting started, but does anyone here know of a better guide/tutorial for picking up some basics? I don’t mind reading forums, but I would prefer some type of walkthrough kind of guide if possible. If anyone feels like schooling me sometime and maybe helping me out send a friend request to Hazbin on Live.
There are lots of guides around this forum, for specific characters and even teams. There are little tips and tricks around that no one really has the courtesy to tell, and there are some that you just have to learn.
oh and anyone can send me a friend request if you want i’m down for whatever kind of games low tier i’ll bust out charlie cammy and guile or i’ll show you a morrigan that can rape most high tier’s and i’m pretty evil with team matrix (don’t like that name >O ) so hit me up if you want some casual or good matches
