Sent can be put in unfly even as a helper.

Great find, demiSe. This artificial unfly mode really works, although not in every case. I’m working on some combos that take advantage of this technique, but I think they all require assists, because the examples you gave below are impossible to combo (as far as I’ve tried).
Still, a great find.

A combo to demonstrate this mode’s uses:
In corner, with Sent/Storm-A–
Normal jump-in j.LK, j.HK, c.LK, s.LP + Storm-A, fly up, unfly, unf.LK, unf.HK, dash in a little c.LK, s.LP, LP RocketPunch, HSF, etc…
Notice the combo starts with a normal jump but features unfly maneuvers.
The IM one is possible albeit pretty difficult, I got it to combo in the corner. Another one you can do is nj, ad d/f, lk, lk, land, c.lk, c.lk, fly, unfly, lk (otg), lk, land, inf with lk (not my idea). I’m not so sure about the Sent one I just assumed it would work.
Just on a side note, you can get the IM infinite off of c.jab, c.jab a much easier way.
Just do…
c.jab, c.jab, fly, j.jab, j.jab, u+j.fierce, unfly, u+j.fierce, land, infinite

You need unfly mode for that. The setups I listed do not. And yeah, I’ve been doing that for a while now. Ever since I started paying attention to IM’s unfly mode. I do that along with his air unfly inf and the corner unfly inf. Tho I usually do c.lk, c.mp, fly, lk, u+hp, unfly, u+hp because there’s less buffering and it’s similar to the way I do the other 2 unfly infinites.

i also have gotten unfly mode wit out gettin hit when i do my meter building trap wit goes s or c hp fly hk cancel hk unfly land repeat and i do it quite fast and then i dont know i end up wit fligth mode. I AM NOT sure so let me come back and comfirm.

This is actually not new. If anyone looked up the thread I wrote about unfly mode I wrote a long time ago, this is what I called “pseudo unfly”. It’s actually the standard mode everyone is in at the start of the match, and if I recall correctly, as long as you don’t do any aerial normals or block during a jump, you will have this unfly mode. What it means is that you can fly and unfly and keep your action AS LONG AS YOU DON’T USE IT. Specials and supers are okay, but doing normals or blocking (including on the way down from unfly) will cause you to lose it until unfly mode is reset.
That information is false. You can ALWAYS, do an attack after flying, its just that often times you BUFFER out of fly. in mvc2 you can enter in jab and the fierce the next frame while still holding jab and it counts as a dash. Likewise, you can press qcb + short and then roundhouse the next frame while in fly and it will count as an fly though the game still counts the short and denies your right to another attack.
I remember trying like 10 times like “DUDE I GAVE MYSELF UNFLY” to the guy that helped me get good at marvel. I would go in and out of fly like 23984 times then go into fly and unfly short, and it worked sometimes its just really hard not to buffer. I have a program pad and its consistent if you sj go into fly, then unfly and press short, it will come out.
