This thread is too good to not deserve a bump.
I agree, judge said he’s sort of done with it though (to my chagrin). Its too bad as I liked how he organized his information.
I was thinking of posting some matches I found, just didn’t know if anyone would want to bother with this thread anymore.
Mixah: lol
Tech: U r so gullible. Seriously though, if those matches show someone executing a clean rush-down on someone else, I’d be glad to see it. Maybe they use a sequence of normals, sjcs, special cancels, assists I haven’t seen before.
RUSHDOWN, to me, is like when you got storm vs sent, and storm is doing those crazy long ass blockstrings to sent
fastfoward to 5 minutes, that’s a little example of what i mean
You tricked me…! I thought you said you had moved on to other things! Okay, if you’re still interested, I’ll come back with some good ones later. You had better comment though
speaking of analysing rushdowns, can someone one link to those “explanation videos” on YouTube? They were MvC2 videos being played and then paused a bunch so that white words would explain WTF just happened
They explained away a bunch of cool stuff like Sakura’s taunt beating out Psylocke’s super and a really fast match involve Cable and Strider
I think Magnetro has some videos like that: http://jp.youtube.com/user/magnetro2k
Also might want to check Preppy’s site: http://zachd.com/mvc2/
EDIT: Wanted to link to Preppy’s site for some vids on the subject of this thread, but how do I do that?
thanks man, that was exactly what I was looking for
IDK how useful those vids are cuz I don’t really play Marvel, but in all other fighters, I try to learn strange quirks of the game like those videos display in order to keep pressure/break guard, and it happens that Marvel has a LOT of quirks
sounds like an interesting thread itll help improve my rush down some.
rush down

its a nice example of how not to drop pressure and using mags hi/low game to confuse the oponent
hi/low/and crossover
granted, my rush down is not always the best (though there are games where it just explodes) but I felt the original did not display the idea of rushdown, but of just the payoff.
