My crappy jokes aside, that new rumor that they’re using the MCU actors is insane. Hollywood types have been popping on the gaming scene more and more but it really, really eats up the budgets, so then when they need incidentals (hyahs! Death screams, etc) they get people like Steve Blum to match their voices. For a fighting game where it’s mostly that, I don’t see this happening (especially with the Voice actor strike going on). The A-list hollywood actors not gonna take pay cuts for a video game where they’re not doing significant amounts of talking. At the best I can see them having the VAs matching their MCU interpretations.
If the series is a reboot and their putting focus on a story, then I’d be fine with that, as long as it doesn’t get overly serious and they cut out the more bizarre and wacky characters.
I need 4 attacking buttons at the minimum. 3 and I’m out.

I’ma try and get hype for 2v2. Xmen vs SF and MVC1 shows it can be fun. Hopefully they got enough of the interesting features from those games to make it nice. Gotta have some crack.
I wouldn’t lose hope. She’s been getting a big and steady push for a while now. MCU focused may mean they get the big wigs there but fill it with others. Look at the recent Avengers cartoon, it’s based on the MCU to a point but then diverges and added Falcon before the movies did and now apparently according to NYCC reports Carol, Kamala and others not yet in the movies are popping up on the show.
So they may just get the most fighting game viable Mcu characters and then slowly add in other favourites. My hope is the roster is MCU focused, but the characters are just an amalglam of comic, cartoon, modern book and movie. I don’t wanna play as a teen Peter Parker. I want to see Venom either being Flash, or Brock being friggin’ Anti Venom. Poor AV’s only been in one game, and instead of an animated series debut, they made Venom AND Anti-Venom Harry OSborne. They’re still making merch for AV so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for a return.
Anyways, I don’t know what kind of roster to expect man, but I’d be very surprised if Kamala didn’t show up.

Those are easy/safe guesses anyone could make at this point, but the shit I’m hearing on GAF now has me tempering my expectations quite a bit. This Marvel sounds like a monkey’s paw deal
The only MCU actors they’d be able to get are Netflix & ABC people. So that’d be Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Punisher & Ghost Rider at most; I doubt all of those characters would be in a 12 character roster. So that whole post smells fake af to me.
