MVC Infinite Lounge: DLC Characters and Costumes launch Dec 5th

Street fighters issue isn’t modes

For example game of the year overwatch,

Single player modes 0 story 0 game modes unranked and ranked Vs bots

Why is this praised so highly? Because it was marketed correctly and the team where open and honest

SFV released a trailer showing all of the modes in the game, so it’s not like they were deceptive. Just unaware that the barebones aspect would be that much of a detriment to the game.

Yes, the lack of offline content was an issue for SFV. Look at every review site. That was like the main thing they focused on. “When’s Arcade Mode” is a thing for a reason.

The shitty CFN network made it even worse.

SFV was just a disaster on launch.

Mvc: herpderp edition

The online was bad.

The gameplay was boring.

The game was neutered. Locking movesets behind vtrigger lol.

Tekken 7 released what is also a bugdet game but it is much more highly praised. It has nothing to do with SF5’s marketing and everything to do with the actual game itself. If the game they released was good, no one would be complaining. Overwath had a good game, thats why no one complained.

If MvCi has the most solid gameplay and playstyle variety since MvC2, they will be forgiven, but if its more UMvC3 combo into death without the characters that made neutral interesting, that its only saving grace left.

I’d be fine with recycled assets if the roster was not plain old ass.

Reusing and Recycling mean the same thing. Reusing just sounds nicer and less lazier than recycling. Can we also stop pretending that the models aren’t similar at all. Yea they changed the textures for some characters and added some animations but the model is still very much similar. Yea Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Chun Li look different (not much) but then you look at Thor, Strider, and Chris and they look damn near the same as they did in 3. MVCI can’t afford to be fucking up especially after all the SFV bullshit and they heading down the same path. The fact that they reusing/recycling shit wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t for all the bullshit that comes with it. Horrible launch roster with fan favorites being saved for DLC, underwhelming visual style, being the next big fighting game from Capcom after SFV, on top of that other fighting games are stepping their shit up while Capcom continues to spiral in a burning flame. The game is under a microscope so all this shit isn’t just a “non-issue”. But its all good 2p 2k tho.

And it’s the other horrible bullshit that should be focused on.

The last game had the most disappointing gameplay of any fighting game ever. Marvel will deliver here again.

Truth is, I was watching the trailers everyday before the leaks. Now, not a single time. E3 can’t come soon enough.

I watched each trailer once and that was it. Not big on trailers and I didn’t find anything real special about the ones so far. Especially since I didn’t want to make too much of a judge on the graphics which just look ok at the moment.

I’ve heard the game looks better in person, but that’s just what I’ve heard.

The game itself looks good. No matter how many times I watch the trailers there is nothing I dislike at all.

You can’t say overwatch haven’t got arcade mode or final fantasy haven’t got versus mode for years so SF should stop having it… thats logical fallacy. It will just piss off real consumer specific to the franchised and genre who might even never knew those title ever exist or never cared about those genre existence to justify a downsized productivity. It’s like a game with a price tag comparing with a freemium title.

I speak of a genre specifically FGs and previous SF don’t take it out the contexts. It’s about FGs to FGs and previous SF title to SFV not just any game to SFV. It’s not success to success like any game to candy crush, floppy birds and angry birds. People will compare FGs to FGs and SFs to SF because that is the most relevant. That’s why loss aversion take place in there and that affects marketing stuff too in a specific matter.

I can think of one thing in the trailers that will always piss me off beyond even what I thought was the upper limit of my hatred and anger towards this shit company:

I know it’s shitposting, but you walked right into that one.[/details]

Po getting pissed off pleases me greatly.

Add Psychojosh too and we have a deal

Overwatch didn’t launch with arcade mode, though and arcade mode is a bunch of PvP modes anyway it’s still not single player, the name of the mode isn’t the issue

Think you’re missing the point?

It dose not NEED single player content, it was never said it was going to have any and it still has not. What do they have , brilliant cgi trailers and regular development blogs and videos telling you exactly what you are getting. And guess what people accepted it, and brought it in their millions

No I’m straight forward and direct to details with what I’m pointing out.

Overwatch, Angry Birds, Candy Crush and Flappy Birds is a different genre and it’s consumer had different expectation towards it each of them.

An SF title isn’t a fresh title and it isn’t even from a company that went into bankruptcy or hiatus for real like NRS and SNK that people would also compare into. I’m talking about loss aversion which is a real thing.

That’s why SFV is more likely to be compared to the likes of Injustice, Tekken, KOF, GGx, previous SF and etc FGs, because those title had the same genre that had most common consumers and it is inevitable to compare even with more persuasive videos, reviews and opinions.

You think marketing tricks/tactics can make people accept a sudden dramatic change to a traditional content that can also avoid people from comparing an FG from another FG or to a previous FG? That was already been done clearly by SFxT from promotion, trailer, blogs and videos stuff.

Capcom ain’t the trend setter nowadays by modes and content so it won’t worked because others won’t follow. They just learn from Capcom’s mistake on and on to out perform it or avoid it.

It is undeniable even how we belittle the issue, if you observe everything from comments, reviews, forums(nonFGC) and feed backs they ain’t buying those persuasive stuff anymore after SFxTekken. SFV just made people to be more vigilant and sensitive more and more, that is another factor why Capcom had to emphasize it in the development of MVCi.

No my only point is these things can go along way. A game like overwatch should have a story mode like most aa plus shooters but it don’t, compare it to the likes of battlefield or even cod and its content light .

When people are complaining about no single player or arcade mode ,even though they never once said it was included , people who brought the game and complain that it don’t have these modes. People are still on the Facebook page saying they’ll play when arcade modes comes,

Why is that?

Sfxt failed because of gems and the fact people reacted badly to dlc practices rightful so. People’s are not just hard on capcom because they failed, they are hard on them because products never lived up to what they where billed to be or shitty practices that are out of date

The least thing they can do is manage expectations. If nindento came out and told us smash was going to be a serious complex and deep fighter. And then dropped brawl they would be in deep shit it would be getting compared to SF,mk,gg, etc instead of the party game it was intended to be this site wrong with people who wanted it to be a legit fighter right off the bat

Here’s to hoping MVCI PC port is great like Tekken 7s

God the amount of people I am gonna make chuckle
