I dunno how Capcom is okay with releasing the game like this. DLC won’t mean shit if the fanbase won’t buy it.

Thinking about it, 28 launch roster, 6 dlcs this year and at least 6 more next year, bringing it up to 40, a respectable size.
But fuck me, this game was supposed to be lit on release. Who the fuck will want to buy this much dlc after this game bombs like SFV? Fuck me.
I’ll be honest with you guys, I’m not that mad with the base roster having this much returning characters, since I want Nemesis, Shuma, Dormammu back, but I’m so fucking disappointed that the game will certainly bomb just like SFV. Marvel ain’t as forgiving as Capcom Japan, that pretends everything is fine with SFV. Marvel will pull the plug on the first year, and the game will just die.

Like, how incompetent can your marketing team be to see the current image of the company and approve something like this. Everyone was fine with waiting if need be, but now we’re going to get a shitty, rushed product so you can sell DLC sooner. I’m willing to bet that some of the stuff they said (story mode) won’t be in at launch. On the plus side, a completely safe, unremarkable roster of 14 per side should be easy to guess.

I would say people should bomb Capcom’s twitter, making them delay the game. But after today, I’m pretty sure they would delay it, but instead of including the first 6 dlc characters in the base roster, they would spread those 6 characters through 2018 instead of 3 months.
Ask them why a major player in the story like Sigma is DLC if he is clearly going to be ready at launch.

If Capcom’s gonna delay the game, which I highly doubt, it’s not gonna be over roster concerns. If anything, said roster would be the reason they’re rushing in the first place, likely due to pressure from Marvel to get out more properties to advertise the MCU.
If they delay the game, it’s gonna be on the gameplay being immensely unpolished and just outright bad. Basically, E3 and CEO would have to have a 95% disapproval rating for gameplay for them to delay it. Which is always possible, we’ll see. But people complaining about the roster isn’t gonna do it.
And one other thing, why is everyone complaining about no Ms. Marvel when Captain Marvel is already in there? Do we really need Kamala as well?
14 existing characters + 1 from mvc2 + 4 completely new + 10 (?) from mvc3 = doesn’t it make it 29 for the launch roster? And 30 with inclusion of Ultronsigma.
Also 1 dlc-character returns from mvc2? But Capcom promised 6 “all-new” characters in that advertisement. If that’s true then I guess that character is from the second batch of dlc-content.
