These “fundamentals”, will capcom finally add an elaborate tutorial mode similar to GG, SG, KI?
Making a mode that is both fun and educational can help retain interest by the “casuals”.

I hope MvC:I has a good bunch of modes and pair play, which can be a gameselling feature.

Hope the D,D+P/K as the SRK motion gets removed, shit isn’t difficult to learn.

Having watched a bunch of videos, gameplay seems pretty interesting and fun. Now polish those ingame other models to Captain Marvel status, improve lighting then we’re getting somewhere.
Hopefully the HUD will be reworked, it’s is minimalistic and bland and takes op huge screenspace. The UI and HUD need add to a games “character”, GG did it great for instance.

The HUD not being shown in the trailer gives me hopes that it’s something they’re still working on.

So, if you look at the lower tiers of UMVC3, it really seems like stones is way better than assists. Hsien-ko with time stone, Nemesis resets with the space box and stuff like that. Of course stronger characters also have access to this stuff, but I think the tiers will be more compact this time around.

This is likely to turn off hardcore players, but Capcom’s betting the farm on being able to pull in the casual audience, who just wants to play through Marvel vs Capcom Infinite’s two-hour story mode at launch.

What did Capcom have to say about the reasoning?

Peter Rosas explained the shift from Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3’s systems to Eurogamer:

"Unfortunately there seems to be this mindset that you sacrifice depth for accessibility. But that's actually not the case here. Not in any capacity, really. What you have are simple commands that allow players access to their characters quickly. It allows them to get a good feel for the game quickly. Ideally that would lead to them wanting to explore the characters further, sticking around and essentially becoming a player. Using these simple commands yields the same results every time. You always perform the same combo and it yields the same damage. When you use a simple hyper, you only have access to one hyper combo - one of many your character has. So, you do gain access to your character but not the deepest depths of them.

For the more hardcore players who plan to put in time and effort, they'll have deeper access to their character. They will be able to do stuff that a person who hasn't put the time in will be able to do. There's really no real sacrifice being made there on their behalf. However, taking a step back, for those who haven't played a fighting game, if they just want to press the stone button, or press the switch button, push the attack buttons with their characters and see some cool things and do some damage, they can."

Probably that wavedashing is slower than normal dashing.

I hope it doesn’t conflict with regular stuff, like that auto-jump option on UMVC3. The best way is too limit it to the simple mode.

It’s not combo that hates zoning it’s casual gamers, it don’t matter what game it is they will hate zoning regardless of how effective it actually is, to these people it’s just spam , and somebody stopping them doing what they want counts as anti fun, they don’t take pride in getting in, nor will they bother to learn how to make the most of if they do.

However it’s not just morigan, time gem makes a projectile game risky as fuck, let alone advanced gaurd reflecting projectiles

Totally agree. Doing a “mini-parry” would be better than a weird reflector, but let’s see how this plays out later on.
