MODOK is definitely a cool oddball character that I’d like to return. I’d love to see Iron Fist actually be viable this time if they brought him back because he got fucking shafted in UMVC3. Sir. Dormington goes without saying.

Again, Groot being in Rocket’s move’s isn’t confirmed. Any mention of that possibility has been speculation.
That article that accidentally leaked those 8 characters didn’t seem to mention Groot, just Rocket by himself.
I didn’t say it was confirmed, and neither are any of those 8 characters anyway, but I really don’t see a way Groot isn’t at least in a super unless Capcom is being really lazy. Or if Star Lord has a big Guardians team super I guess?

Thoughts? People on Neogaf are coming to the conclusion that the game could be coming out in September (or August at the earliest).
I don’t see how not using Groot in his moves is “lazy”, especially since Rocket didn’t need him last time. For that matter, why should Groot be just a move for Rocket instead of his own character, that seems lazy. In any case, we don’t know anything either way, besides Rocket being in the game being highly likely.
And the 8 characters aren’t confirmed, but they sure seem likely after everything we saw today.
Because these games are primarily about fanservice, and Rocket and Groot have always been a tight pair. I would’ve liked Groot to appear in a super in MvC3 as well, mind you, but I wasn’t too surprised he didn’t because I was already surprised enough Rocket was even in the game at all.
Likely, sure, but there’s no real need to go ‘groot isn’t confirmed m8’ when nothing in the post was confirmed.

So are a lot of other Marvel characters that made it in previously, but you didn’t see them as one of their pals moves.
Again, that seems lazier than just using Rocket’s established moves.

If the game is coming out as early as August-September - then be sure it’s going to be rushed out the door just like SFV and then getting all the promised content throughout 2018
